Blakeworth is the slash ship between Victor Blake and Vincent Edgeworth from the Vincent: The Secret of Myers fandom.
Canon[]
Chapter 1[]
In the first chapter, upon Vanora asking Victor who owns the mansion she wakes up in, he tells her it is Vincent who owns it. However, he adds that he thinks that Vincent is "quite an adorable man, yet could be extremely dangerous at the same time." Victor later brings up how Vincent's attitude towards him has stayed relatively the same, unlike how his attitude towards others has changed.
Chapter 3[]
In chapter three, while confronting Vincent about his relation to Winston Loomis escaping prison, Victor then brings up the fact that, although being good at it, Vincent could never lie to him. In response to Victor telling Vincent to look him in the eyes, Vincent tells him that he has been doing that the entire time. This causes them to bicker back and forth, with Victor asserting he hasn't, Vincent asserting he has. After a while, Victor finally lets it go, telling Vincent that he would "always support every choice" he made, in which he has always been doing since the two met in college. In trying to warn Vincent about the dangers of choosing revenge on the Myers Corporation for what they have done to him, Victor brings up the fact that Vincent would be unable to do such a feat alone. This prompts Vincent to ask Victor to join him, as he "needs him." He agrees that he cannot do it alone, as he also needs a certain "man" he trusts, and can entrust his life to, that being Victor. Victor is hesitant at first, but after Vincent tells him that he trusts him, and that they "can find the equilibrium that's just right," he finally decides to side with him. He remembers that Vincent "never regrets his choice," which is a side that Victor had not seen from him in a while.
Victor tells Vincent that he is "willing to walk alongside" him, despite how "long and difficult" their path may be. Vincent then thanks him. Victor, using this as another moment to tease him, pretends he could not hear what Vincent said. Vincent repeats himself, but they are then interrupted by Winston, whom both forgot was there in the first place. Victor asks what they will do with Winston, Vincent suggesting that they just throw him back in prison. Victor notices Vincent's embarrassment of the situation, using this as another opportunity to tease him. However, Vincent tells him to cut it out.
Victor then tells Vincent that he has a surprise for him. This surprise turns out to be some items that he stole from Winston's lab, as he knew that it was Vincent behind Winston's prison escape the entire time. While Vincent is investigating the items, he has some thoughts about Victor. He thinks about how Victor "intimidates him sometimes," can "read his mind without any difficulty," and "could go as far as to anticipate his every move." He also calls Victor a superhuman, saying that "he never needed Myer's mechanical prosthesis to be a superhuman, he already is one." Vincent then starts to wonder what would happen if him and Victor never had become friends in college, and what would have happened if he had not had Victor next to him when he needed him. He wonders where he would be now, and how different things would be. However, he decides to smother the thought, as he would "rather not think about it."
Chapter 4[]
The fourth chapter opens up with a flashback of when the two first met in university. After Victor introduces himself to Vincent, he talks about how it was "an incredible chance of fate" for the two of them to meet. Vincent is not amused, and goes on about how life experiences are shaped by a person's actions, and not by fate. Though Victor still tries to assert his point, Vincent interrupts him saying that he would "rather live in a single room." This slightly agitates Victor. The two make small talk, until Victor asks Vincent if he would like to go to the freshman party with him. Vincent tells him that he is not interested, once again making Victor a little perturbed.
Trying to get him to go, Victor asks him about what could be wrong with making new friends. Vincent tells him that he is not there to make friends. He talks about how hard he has and will be working in comparison to the other students, all in order to get into the Myers corporation. This causes Victor to mock him, telling him that his anti-social behavior will result in him having a lonely life. He then tells him that "It will be your fate to end up being an outcast, and be forced to leave the Myers Corporation because you don't belong there." He mocks Vincent one last time by using his own words against him, tells him that he "hopes to see him at the freshman party," and then leaves.
In order to take his mind off of Victor, Vincent decides to read. This attempt fails. Vincent begins to reflect on his actions, and thinks of how he should not have been so cold to Victor, as the two of them will be roommates for the next four years. However, Vincent tries to counter this thought by saying that he should be able to live alone the next year, and that he has "no reason to put on a smile" for him. A few hours later, Vincent wonders why Victor has not come back yet. He then begins to question why he is even thinking about Victor in the first place, and does not understand why he feels like he is "eagerly waiting for him to come back." Another few hours pass, and Victor still has not returned. Vincent wonders what he was worrying about, and concludes that he will be alone once again. A sequence is then played where Vincent contemplates how he thinks that "nothing is predestined in life," fate, and his hope of making real friends. This was most likely triggered by what Victor had said to him earlier.
Having spent the entire night reading (and waiting for Victor to come back,) Vincent decides to get ready for class. However, before he can do this, Victor comes back. Victor is surprised that Vincent is still awake, but before he can say anything else, he collapses, worrying Vincent.
Victor later wakes up, and realizes that he has missed all of his morning classes. Vincent sarcastically asks if he is supposed to congratulate him, as he is the reason that Vincent missed all of his morning classes as well. Vincent then tells Victor about how the doctor told him that he should rest, as the reason he passed out was due to over-exhaustion and stress. Hearing this, Victor wonders why Vincent is still with him, to which Vincent guesses that he just "wanted to see if Victor was feeling better when he woke up with his own eyes." Vincent then reveals that he bought Victor a cup of hot chocolate, as he did not know what to do. He requested the foam on top to be shaped like a kitten, to which Victor laughs at. Vincent asks what could be so funny, though Victor tells him that "it's nothing."
Victor questions why Vincent had done what he did for him, after everything he had said. Vincent tells him that, despite wanting to just ignore him, Victor is still his roommate, and part of his responsibilities. Vincent then asks what Victor was doing partying all night, into which Victor tells him that he did not actually go. He reveals that he was just trying to get away with Vincent because of the things Vincent had said to him. Calling him an admirable person, Victor tells Vincent that he was simply just jealous that Vincent knew what he wanted to do in life, while Victor, not having a single clue on what he wanted, was just following what his parents wanted him to do. He apologizes, but then realizes that Vincent is blushing. Vincent clarifies that it is just because he did not expect Victor to be so honest with him, but Victor assumes that it is because he complimented him when he called him an "admirable person." This causes Vincent to tell Victor that he "has no idea" what he is talking about.
Victor remembers that Vincent still has classes in the afternoon, and suggests he go to them. Before he leaves, Vincent tells Victor that he has two more things he would like to talk about. For the first one, Vincent tells Victor that he does not understand how he feels, nor does he know how to help him, but tells him that he believes he will find his goal eventually. He tells Victor that if he is ever feeling down and wants to talk to someone, he will be there for him. For the second one, he tells Victor that if he ever makes him upset, he is allowed to be angry with him. This causes Victor to blush. Stopping him before he finally leaves, Victor thanks Vincent for the hot chocolate he bought for him. Vincent smiles at him, and then leaves the room.
Back in the present, upon Vanora breaking a mug while investigating, Vincent almost collapses. This is due to the fact that there was hot chocolate in the mug, the same exact beverage Vincent bought for Victor back when they first met. Shortly after that, Vanora unlocks a box containing a picture of Victor, Vincent, and three cats. Vanora notices that Victor's eyes and arms in the photo are not prosthetics yet, and concludes that it is a picture of the two in university. Vanora questions Vincent on this, however he does not answer and instead averts his eyes. This picture ends up being the key to one of the puzzles, as Vincent used the date on the photo as some sort of password.
Later, while inside the secret chamber, Vanora grabs Vincent's tie in a panic to avoid possibly dying. This triggers another flashback, starting off near the end of Vincent's university days. In the flashback, Vincent gets his job acceptance letter from the Myers Corporation. Victor suggests that they celebrate, though Vincent appears to be upset about something. Victor asks him why he is so glum, as Vincent's dream was to get into the Myers Corporation. Vincent tells him that he is sad that his time in university is coming to an end. Victor understands how he feels, and reminisces on when they first met four years ago. Victor asks Vincent if he would like to go to the graduation party with him. Vincent declines, though Victor is not surprised. Victor attempts to persuade him by saying that all his friends will be there, though Vincent tells him that they are not his friends. Victor still tries to get him to go, telling the other that they consider Vincent to be a friend. Vincent tells Victor that he does not want to be friends with them, as having him as a friend is enough for him. Victor blushes at this, surprised at first, but then smiles. This subsequently makes Vincent blush as well. As a compromise for not going to the graduation party, Victor invites Vincent to the bar with him, "like a date." Vincent agrees to go.
Some time passes, and Victor asks Vincent if he is ready to go or not. He notices Vincent has used hair gel, and questions him on this. Vincent blushes, and tells him that he has not. Victor also points out that Vincent is also wearing a new suit. He laughs at Vincent, and asks him if he really thought their outing was going to be a date. Vincent calls out his hypocrisy, as Victor is wearing cologne. In response Victor admits him that he "got him there." He tells Vincent that they should get going, and they make their way out the door.
At the bar, Vincent asks Victor what his plans after graduation are. Victor reveals that he has been hired by a company, and that he will be working in their investment department. Vincent tells him that he is happy for him, though Victor tells him that he does not look so happy to him. Vincent clarifies that he really is, though is upset that he might not be able to hang out with Victor in person anymore after graduation. Victor guesses that Vincent is getting too attached to him, and asks him if going into the Myers Corporation all by himself scares him. In response, Vincent admits that he feels as though Victor is "reading his mind" sometimes. Victor takes out a gift for Vincent, which happens to be the same tie that Vincent wears in the present. Victor suggests Vincent change his outfit up a little, since he is going to work at the Myers Corporation, and tells him that the tie gives off a more "professional feel." Vincent thanks him, and tells him he will "treasure it."
- I'm sorry, Vincent Edgeworth. I'm afraid you're not getting rid of me yet.

Victor asks Vincent if he still remembers the day they first met, in which Vincent replies that he could never forget about it. Victor tells him that though he said that he believed they would become great friends when they first met, he was not being sincere then, and actually would have never guessed that they would become best friends. Victor tells Vincent that he, though he may not realize it, has changed him a lot throughout the past four years. Victor tells Vincent that he feels like his "life has meaning" whenever he is with him, and that Vincent helped him regain his purpose. He tells Vincent that he wants to become an "outstanding person" like him, but more importantly wants to "stay with" him, and "keep being there" for him. Victor assures Vincent that he thinks he will be able to achieve many great things upon entering the Myers Corporation, because he believes that "there's nothing Vincent Edgeworth can't do." Victor is aware that Vincent's time at the Myers Corporation will not always be great. Victor reveals that he will be working in the Investment Department of the Myers Corporation, and lets Vincent know that he will be there for him if he ever needs help or wants somebody to talk to. Vincent begins to cry, and thinks about how he, at that moment, realized he was wrong about how "nothing is predestined in life." He thinks about how "everything was destined to change" the moment Victor "entered his life," and about how coming to RMU, meeting Victor, and getting to know him was "his fate."
Victor remembers a pet store near the bar they are at, and asks Vincent if he wants to go see some kittens with him. This most likely is the origin story of the three cats in the photo of them together. Back to Vincent's thoughts, he talks about how just one person may be enough to change someone's life. This one person being Victor. The flashback then fast forwards to after Vincent survives his car accident. Vincent looks at the now bloody tie Victor gave him, and wonders how he is doing. He wonders what Victor would think of the "monster" he has become, and wonders if joining the Myers Corporation with Victor and never getting to see him again was all part of his fate. The scene momentarily cuts to a flashback of Victor answering a question, if he believes a person's fate can be changed or not. He tells the person who asked that he does not have an answer, but if the person in question is Vincent, he tells them that Vincent "will never let anyone dictate his destiny." Shortly after, the sequence ends, and the setting reverts back to the secret chamber.
During Vincent's first Live or Die, he asks Vanora if she believes in fate. This is a drastic change from before he met Victor, who is the reason he believes in fate at all. All of the answers to Vincent's Live or Die's have something to do with Victor. For the first one, Vanora reiterates something along the lines of what Victor said to Vincent when he first met him at RMU, saying "After all, it was your fate to become an outcast and be forced to leave the Myers Corporation because you didn't belong there." This puts a look of "excruciating pain" on Vincent's face. For the second one, Vanora acknowledges that Vincent thinks he is not alone because he still has Victor. However, since Victor is a just human, he will still end up losing him sooner or later. This fills Vincent's expression with "even more sorrow."
While running away from Vincent after the second Live or Die, Vanora reads a journal that is presumably Vincent's. The journal details of a certain request that Vincent had for Victor, namely to aid in the creation of Draco Edgeworth. The first page goes on about how Victor is always the first person to help Vincent with his troubles, no matter what was asked of him. Vincent feels guilty and worried, as the request requires Victor to make a "huge sacrifice," in which Vincent has no idea how it will affect him. This "sacrifice," being Victor's own memories from before an unnamed incident happened. However, since Victor is the only person Vincent can trust, he has no other choice. The journal is used to solve another puzzle in the same room, where the correct answer is "cigarette + martini = suit with bow tie." The cigarette representing Victor, the martini representing Vincent, and the suit with bow tie representing Draco Edgeworth. It is later revealed that Vincent's part in Draco's creation was supplying his own genes.
In Vincent's third and final Live or Die, Vanora brings up the fact that Vincent wants to go back and time and experience what it was like in RMU again. She pulls out the photo of Vincent and Victor together, in which Vincent attempts to retrieve from her, but fails. She states that Victor is the only one Vincent can be his real self with, and that his university time with him was the happiest time of his life. She tears the photo into pieces, and tells him that he cannot go back in time and change the past. This action inevitably is what allows Vanora to defeat Vincent.

The ship has landed itself as the most popular ship in the fandom, with over 100 works on AO3 for them. Many fans treat them as if they have become an established couple already. A hobby of some of the fans on Twitter is to quote retweet accounts that tweet out quotes from a character, and allude it somewhat to Blakeworth. Occasionally, in some fan interpretations, the character Winston Loomis is depicted as a third wheel to the two. Another fan interpretation is of Draco Edgeworth often being depicted as their son, or "lovechild," as he shares similar physical features, along with the fact he is quite literally made of Victor's memories and Vincent's DNA. One of Draco's ships, Dranora, is also shipped alongside Blakeworth.
Kruecent could potentially count as a rival ship, though majority decide to either ship them both, or ship the characters all together, resulting in Blakeworther.
