Blight Family is the family ship between Amity Blight, Emira Blight, Edric Blight, Odalia Blight and Alador Blight from The Owl House fandom.
Canon[]
The Blights are a respected family of witches on the Boiling Isles. They are wealthy and powerful, Alador and Odalia Blight are the parents of Emira Blight, Edric Blight and Amity Blight. Odalia is mostly shown to be in charge of the family with her making the choices that mostly benefit her and the family's respected image. For example, the twin's true appearances aren't "pretty" like Amity is and forces Emira and Edric to wear illusion stones that makes them look perfect. Along with having the twins be placed in the Illusion track at Hexside, the same school that Odalia and Alador went to, to ensure that the twins maintain the stones' magic. Even though Odalia was in the Oracle track, Amity got placed in the Abomination track like her father was. Since the Blights own and mange a Abomination related business that Odalia is in charge of and has her husband as one of her workers, along with having their kids help to showcase their merchandise.
The parents focusing on Amity than the twins allows the two to embrace their trouble making side, until Amity tells them off to their parents. Who forced Amity to end her friendship with Willow, and for her to be friends with the children of the strongest witches. As those are the only witches that the Blights associate with, as shown in a memory reveal during "Understanding Willow." To make Amity strong as well, the Blights also forced her to work her way up into the Emperor's Coven, which is the most powerful coven on the Isles. Causing Amity to feel pressured, but still wants to please her parents even if it means turning her older siblings over to them after they pull on of their pranks. Odalia using her oracle powers on both Amity and Alador makes it hard for them to stand up to her, while she doesn't care that her selfishness has created a rift within the family.
The events that allow this rift to mend itself started in "Lost In Language." Both Edric and Emira were tired of Amity telling them off to their parents, resulting in them getting revenge on her. The two had no trouble teasing Amity and enjoy annoying her, so them wanting to steal her diary and reveal its contents would have been no problem to them. Even though Amity caught them (and Luz) in the act and was angry that they were her secret room without her permission, kept them from doing so. After the twins learn about the danger that their actions put Amity in when they left, however, they begin to change from feeling sorry for for the incident. Since then, the twins began to look out for Amity and help her in whatever way they can, like joining Amity on the Titan's Knee as she practices a new fire spell and give her confidence to use the spell without the training wand. Which allowed Amity to save her siblings and Eda from a snow-like beast.
In "Escaping Expulsion", Emira and Edric are seen standing outside the Blight Industries. Odalia introduces herself and her husband to the crowd, they reveal the Abomaton and Amity. Amity tests the Abomaton, Odalia tells her to make this look good and she and Alador will forgive her for her bad performance at school. Odalia gets angry when Amity destroys the Abomaton, and decides to punish her for getting distracted. She makes Amity and her friends report to Principal Bumps office, Amity is shocked to hear her mom. Odalia tells Amity's friends that will get expelled for putting her daughter in danger. Alador is seen distracted and Odalia tries to make him focus by clearing her throat. Odalia tells Amity to take this as a lesson and that a Blight always upholds their end of a deal, she scolds Amity for not being in class and tells her she will take double lessons. When Luz enters the Blight Manor, there is a portrait of the family, Odalia has her hand on Edric's shoulder, Edric has his hand on Amity's left shoulder, Emira has her hands on Amity's right shoulder and Alador has his hand on Odalia's back.
Emira and Edric help Amity get to Luz by giving Amity, Willow and Gus disguises. Amity is surprised to see them help and they tell her to not tell their mom. Edric and Emira prank them by putting "Hex Me" notes, but Amity quickly removes it and throws it at them. Odalia endangers Luz on purpose when showcasing the Abomation, so Luz, trying to get her to stop, tells her that the crowd gets it. Alador tells Odalia that Luz has a point. When Amity jumps in to save Luz, Odalia tries to tell Amity that she is in so much trouble through the necklace, but Amity destroys it. Odalia tells Alador she won't let Amity's friends go back to Hexside and will call every authority she knows, then she gets interrupted by Alador. He tells her that she made a deal with her daughter; a Blight always uphold their end of the deal. Alador tells her that Amity is getting stronger, one day she'll be a coven head and she tells him that his words are wise. Odalia gets angry when she sees Alador getting distracted. Near the end, Odalia compliments Alador's new Abomaton.
In "Reaching Out", Amity tries to convince her dad to let her attend the Bonesborough Brawl, he didn't even notice her presence and rejects her idea of going, He tells that they're holding tryouts for the Emperors Coven and that her mother already signed her up and he gave her a chaperone to make sure she arrives safely. Amity decides to rebel and go without his permission, Edric and Emira help her. They greet her with the nickname "Mittens" which angers her, they explain how they are proud she is becoming a delinquent day by day and help her disguise. Alador finds out Amity disobeyed him, he tells her to round out Emira and Edric, and if they beg they can sign her up for next years tryouts. Amity refuses and runs away, Edric notices his dad is there. Alador fights the Warden Wrath, Amity tries to help him but pushes her away, Emira and Edric are disappointed and boo him. Amity is angry that he doesn't understand, Amity tries to help him again and stops him before he can push her away. She tells Alador that she is making her own choices now, Edric tells the two to hold the warden down. Alador talks to Amity about how she always wanted to join the Emperors Coven and how it was her dream to. Amity replies that it Odalia's dream, and he went along with it. She was certain he didn't know she was dating Luz, Alador was surprised to know this and Amity says he's too busy with the abominations and doesn't talk to her or her siblings anymore. She tells him how Odalia is too busy trying to dye her hair green and he compliments her new purple hair, she asks if he can tell Odalia that and he told her he'll talk to her. Alador tries to hug her but Amity shakes his hand instead saying that it's a start.
In "Clouds on the Horizon", Amity, Edric and Emira spy on Odalia. Amity tells the twins that she needs to find out about the draining spell, Emira tells her that she will not believe and Edric tells her that she would not care. Alador tries to tell Odalia that he finds it strange that they need a lot of security for the day of unity and they should reconsider the deal. Odalia tells him the familys famous quote, Blights always uphold their end of the deal. Odalia threatens Alador about reconsidering their deal, Amity tels the twins that Alador might listen, however, Odalia found out they were hiding and grounds the siblings. Amity cannot believe her mom broke her device, the siblings want their mother to hear them out, however, Odalia cares about money more as said by Emira. Alador is later seen venting about Odalia to King, he tells King that he is going to spend more time with his kids and get to know them. Amity is angry at Odalia and Odalia asks if Amit is trying to make her look bad, Odalia insults her girlfriend causing Amity to break free from the chains. Alador helps Amity and her friends escape and Amity asks if it was the power of believing in herself, he tells her that she almost had it and calls her sweetie. Alador tells Odalia the truth about the day of unity and she doesn't care, he gets mad that she already knew and his face turns red, similar to how Amity's face does the same. Alador attack Odalia with the abomatons and tells her that this is too much, even for her. Amity tells Odalia she is never speaking to her again; Odalia tells her its whats best for the family. Alador responds with saying whats best for the family is to end this and attacks all the abomatons. Alador quits, Odalia tells him she was going to find a better business partner, ending their relationship. Alador comments on how terrifying that was, Amity tries to make him feel better and puts her hand on his back. Alador agrees to rescue Amity's friend, and offers to be the pilot.
In "King's Tide", Amity demands for her father to fly faster so they can rescue Luz. Alador makes Amity abomation mittens when her hand are cold, Amity soon realizes this is why she is nicknamed Mittens. When the ship crashes, Alador fights off the abomatons tells Amity to leave, he gives her a kiss on the forehead, Amity doesn't want to leave him.
After Amity found herself trapped in the human realm with her friends, she drew a drawing of Alador, Emira and Edric and placed it next to the drawings of Willow and Gus's families. To remind them of the families waiting for them and wanted to be reunited with them. While being unaware that Alador was turned into one of the Collector's puppets, while the twins had managed to escape the manor and were trying to find their sister and father, until Edric got hurt and the twins were forced to seek refuge at Hexside. Meanwhile, Odalia made a deal with the Collector to save herself. Amity learns all this after she returned to the demon realm. As she first reunites with the twins and then with her father, Odalia is seen eyeing the two, after Alador was turned back to normal, but still wants nothing to do with her mother.
The time skip reveals that Alador got custody of his children while Odalia was no where to be seen. Indicating that the four have in fact cut ties with Odalia and no longer have anything to do with her.

When it comes the Blight Family people mostly focus on the children than the parents, and when they do focus on their relationship with their kids, Alador has the most attention. Due to curl way Odalia had treated her whole family and they were more than happy when Alador cut ties with Odalia and got custody of Amity and the twins. Some fans have created a alternate universes where Odalia is kind and genuinely loves her family instead of money and fame.
