- Moon – “Hello, Caine. I love you.”
- Caine – “Ah! Let's get outta here before the moon gets frisky.”
- — Caine to Pomni when the Moon tells Caine she loves him.
BlueTooth is the het ship between Caine and Moon from the The Amazing Digital Circus fandom.
Canon[]
Caine appears alongside Moon and Sun during the circus's theme song. When Pomni arrives in the digital plane, Caine introduces her to the layout of The Grounds. He yanks her outside of the circus and Moon spots him. She greets him and expresses her love towards him. Caine is uncomfortable by the forwardness and urges Pomni to move along to avoid further interaction. This reaction heavily implies Caine's unrequited feelings. The relationship between Moon and Caine currently isn't explored beyond this episode, and any relation between them before the events of the Pilot is unknown. Moon's affection towards Caine causes him to label them as "frisky" in replacement of genuine interest.
In a promotional episode sponsoring new merch and the production of the series, Sun is given speech; she expresses her spite for Caine and threatens his life. Caine questions her antagonistic antics, and she declares her jealousy towards Moon for having more lines than her. Because of this, she is infuriated towards Caine for seemingly favoring Moon over her. This gives minor indications of the status of Moon and Caine's relationship, but it continues to remain a mystery. A possible hint could be Caine leans closer to Moon compared to Sun in means of emotional connection.
Both Moon and Caine are NPCs within the digital circus. It is possible that the duo were created simultaneously to the game's release. Moon is the impersonification of night, giving her a connection to Caine's circus. Caine is claimed to be the god of the digital world, thus signifying his authority over every NPC including Moon herself. The godly position with proof from the second episode Candy Carrier Chaos that Caine creates other NPCs; This might indicate that Caine had materialized Moon to be the carrier of the evening, possibly explaining his unrequited feelings for her.
Fanon[]
In fanart, a human depiction of Moon is heavily popularized within the fanbase when including the BlueTooth ship. In the specific media, Moon is considerably enormous in size compared to Caine. A common headcanon that formed a consensus across the fandom is Caine visits Moon either between circus hours or once the evening hits, which is when Moon is most active. BlueTooth is arguably one of the most popular Caine ships excluding Showtime, the het pairing between Pomni and Caine.
Ironically, the duo indicate the Solar and Lunar trope; Caine is depicted as overly energetic and cheerful in comparison towards Moon's tranquility.
