Wembley Park Theatre[]
Pearl is introduced to the engine's and coaches, asking not to be pushed and shoved. Greaseball makes fun of her for being a coach who talks back, and Dinah and the other coaches tell her to leave Pearl alone. Rusty then introduces Pearl to Dinah, who in turn introduces her to the other coaches. Greaseball then comes over and says that they coaches need to listen to the engine's and pushes Pearl around, saying that she'll always have to listen to an engine, playing with her hair as she does. Dinah tells Greaseball to stop, who in turn tells her to shut it. Dinah says she won't, and says that Pearl is new and deserves some respect from the engine's. She then has Rusty hook Pearl up with the rest of the coach's and the four ignore Greaseball and the other engine's.
The engine's are jocking around about who is going to win, when Electra comes forward and insults Greaseball for still keeping Dinah around. Greaseball says that any coach would be proud to ride with her, when Rusty says that this doesn't include Pearl. Greaseball disagrees and says that Pearl knows how fast Greaseball is, which worries Dinah. Greaseball then starts going at it with Electra, and Dinah tries to get her to stop. Greaseball tells Dinah to shut it, and turns her attention to Pearl. Dinah tries again, but this time all the engine's join in telling her to shut it.
Control announces that all the winning engine's need to find new partners, and all of them scatter. Dinah skates up to Greaseball, believing she'll still pick her, but Greaseball goes right past her to Pearl. She asks Pearl to be her partner, and Pearl says yes. Dinah then rides up to the two and begs Pearl not to take Greaseball away from her. Pearl says it's just for one race and assures Dinah that Greaseball will be back to her right after. Dinah starts crying, and rides away at the same time as Greaseball, while Pearl tries to get Dinah to not cry.

Blue and Gold Pearls is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Some fans see it as the solution to the slight love triangle in the show. Though it's less popular than just pairing up all three with different characters.
