Bookel is the het ship between Book and Nickel from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
Book is concerned for Nickel when Match excludes him from their break time and steps on him. She tries sticking up for Nickel when he says that they should get back to cranking after on break for hours on end. Later as the remaining competitors discuss whether the HPHPRCC self destructing means it explode or disappearing without a trace, Nickel tells Book he'll take his chances.
Book sees a now-metallic Coiny and confuses him for Nickel now with arms. After Coiny clarifies he ate too many yoyleberries, Nickel approaches the two and, using Bomby's arms behind him, makes it look like he indeed has arms. Book is aware of Bomby behind him and the two laugh it off.
As the two of them are pink from the events of last challenge, Book walks up to Nickel and asks if he's liking it. Nickel, however, doesn't enjoy it and is struggling to brush it off. Book helps him see the appeal of being pink by showing a pink Ice Cube, dubbed as Strawberry Milk Cube. After Cake at Stake, Nickel allows Book to use the paint thinning machine he got.
After reflecting with Bomby about their time cranking in Battle for Dream Island Again, Book pulls Nickel over and asks him about it too. Although indirectly stated, Nickel agrees to team up with Book while forming teams for the new season.
Nickel talks with Cake and Book about how three of their team members have been absent from the challenge for a while. Book tries to lighten his thinking by assuring him they don't all have no reasons but both Nickel and Cake are still doubtful. She tells Nickel that they could be stuck inside of a ball and references how Taco was trapped in one in the past, confusing him.
Book is anxious that their team has yet to come up with an idea for the amusement park and grasps Nickel while stating this. When Pillow suggests shredding Book, Nickel likes the idea of creating anagrams. Book follows Nickel when he tells the team to head to the hotel to look for gadgets.
After Nickel tries to get the team's focus on protecting the Funny Plant for the challenge, Book supports him when Pillow is not in the mood to help the plant.
Book asks Pillow to get rid of Puffball when she sees her attacking Nickel.
While envisioning a game of Goiky's Dragons, Book taunts the dragon by revealing that Nickel has already stolen its gold. Later in the challenge, Book considers just following along to the singing narrator when the two begin to feel doubtful of it. They eventually reach a snapping point and go rogue, with Nickel asking Book to show him a map of Goiky. She opens her pages to one and Nickel determines they're close to the dragon they're looking for.
Nickel is bouncing on a pogo stick the team found while trading. Book likes how fun it looks but directs his focus on trading with The S! for the glass panel instead.
After seeing Rocky eliminated, Book reflects on how it's the third time he's been out of the competition since all the way back in Battle for Dream Island Again. Nickel remembers this and puts a positive light to it, suggesting to her that they high-five about it. Their team cheers in celebration. During the challenge, Nickel asks Book for a strategy for balancing on the balance beam. She's unable to get research from inside of her pages because of the glue that was put inside of her earlier.
While Book is trying to find her teammates after they've hidden from Pillow, Nickel quietly calls out for her towards his hiding spot. Nickel explains to Book about how stressed out he is and suggests sleeping through the tension, showing off a bed he found.

In the Battle for Dream Island fandom, Bookel has had its shippers as early as 2013 after the second season's initial run. Book's concern for Nickel after seeing how Match treated him is cited to have sparked initial interest in the two being paired. Fan-art and oneshots of the two have been steadily made throughout the show's run, although this left some confused due to the fact that they had not much interactions at the time. Interest in the ship rose during The Power of Two as they teamed up and show a more friend-like bond towards each other. Fans of both Book and Nickel have enjoyed the two supporting one another in the season, putting newfound interest in the ship. The pair is one of Nickel's most popular ships while it rivals some of Book's more known pairings, such as Booklow (Book x Pillow) and Tacobook (Taco x Book).
