Boomerokka is the cargo ship between Sokka and his boomerang from the Avatar: The Last Airbender fandom.

Canon

Sokka first received his boomerang as a gift from is father Hakoda right before the latter left the Southern Water Tribe to fight in the Hundred Year War. The boomerang quickly became one of Sokka's prized possessions, and eventually began to see it as a part of his identity. Sokka was skilled with using his boomerang, as it allowed him to hit his enemies from as distance, and the boomerang would return to him after being thrown. He was even able to catch Zuko off-guard with it when the firebender was attacking his village.

Sokka temporarily lost his boomerang when the Rough Rhinos attack Team Avatar's camp and they were forced to flee without grabbing all of their supplies. Sokka wanted to go retrieve his boomerang, but Katara told him that there was no time and that they needed to leave. Sokka then called Aang and Katara out as they had time to save their staff and waterbending scrolls respectively but would not allow Sokka to save his boomerang. Sokka later moped over the loss of his boomerang, equating it to Aang losing his arrows and Katara losing her hair loopies. Team Avatar later fought the Rough Rhinos again in Chin Village, and Sokka was able to retrieve his boomerang that was in a satchel.

Sokka's boomerang later played an important role in the battles against Combustion Man, a dangerous combustionbender with long-ranged explosive abilities. His weak point was his third eye in the center of his forehead. Sokka was able to strike Combustion Man in the forehead twice, with the second time causing his death due to his head exploding at point-blank range. Sokka later lost his boomerang in the final battle during Sozin's Comet. He was forced to throw it to stop firebenders from pursuing him and Toph as they were hanging on to the edge of an airship for their lives. Sokka was later seen using a boomerang in the years following the war that is identical in appearance, but it is unknown if it is the same boomerang or a new one.

Fanon

Boomerokka is one of the more popular cargo ships in the Avatar fandom. Sokka is popular as a comic relief character and fans often highlight his boomerang as a part of his personality. The non-canon parody "Bending Battle" even highlighted this by having Sokka identify his element as 'boomerang' while the other members of Team Avatar identified with the elements they bend. Sokka later obtained a sword in the final season of the show, which created some division as to whether Sokka should be known as the 'boomerang guy' or 'sword guy'. Those who ship Boomerokka prefer Sokka focusing on his boomerang, and he did continue to use in the series finale. Boomerokka most commonly rivals the Swordka ship.
