Boonchuy Family is the family ship between Anne Boonchuy, Mrs. Boonchuy and Mr. Boonchuy from the Amphibia fandom.

The Boonchuys are a family who remain true to their Thai culture after moving to the US, where they opened a Thai themed restraint and become part of the city's Thai community. Allowing their daughter, Anne to learn about the country and culture her parents were originally from. Mrs. Boonchuy is shown to be over protective of Anne and wishes that she would stop slacking off and to at least try to work hard in her school studies. As well as her signing Anne up for Muay Thai, to help Anne burn "off the energy" that was annoying her mother. Her over protectiveness has Mrs. Boonchuy keeping Anne from trying or doing things that might hurt or disagree with Anne's health, while Anne's love and respect for her parents keeps her from rebelling. Unless it was school related, like changing the grade on her report card to hide the fact she is doing doing beadly school from her parents, and the way her two best friends drag Anne into things that later leads to trouble. As for Mr. Boonchuy is more of a fun dad, who helps his wife to embrace her fun side every now and again. Specially when it comes to a "Boonchuy battle."
On the day of Anne's 13th birthday, while her parents are left wondering where she was after Sasha got her to skip school, Anne and her friends ended up being transported to another world. Because Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy weren't aware of this, they assumed that Anne might have ran away and were very saddened by that thought. During the months Anne as missing, the Boonchuy couple were being looked after by the Thai community who lent the two their support and assistance with their restraint whenever they can. Along with them taking care of their stall at the temple and sending them the money whenever they didn't feel like attending market day. Mrs. Boonchuy even created a "workout room" to help her with the struggles of the possibility that her only daughter ran away from her family and life. One of herself Anne manakins was of her daughter as a doctor. While on Anne's end in Amphibia, she was missing her parents and was searching for away back home to them. From time to time Anne was tell the Frog family who took her in things about them, mostly about her mother and being away from her mother had got Anne to rebel and embrace the things she wouldn't have allowed her daughter to do on her watch. When she isn't defending her family's honour after a snobby newt insulted Anne's family restraint. Knowing that being away from them for months would have them deeply missing her, as much as she misses them, Anne wanted to bring home a gift for her mother. Anne's gift was set to be a teapot that was decorated with blue butteries, two of the things that her mother likes, but after Anne decided to do the right thing she was given a small sparkling, hand crafted blue butterfly as thanks. Making the gift Anne optioned for her mother much more special and meaning full.
After Anne finally returned to Earth, with the Planters being dragged over with her, she made her way back to her house. Wanting to let her parents know that she is alright, before she begins to look for another way back to Amphibia. With her two best friends still trapped there and needed to stop Andrias, before he can invade Earth. Anne didn't feel comfortable with the idea of telling her parents that their daughter was betrayed by three people in a role and that she suddenly has powers, but knew that she has to tell them about the Planters if she were to convince them to let her frog family stay with her human family. Both Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy were happy to finally have Anne back in their lives again and were revealed to know that her going missing wasn't her choice, but they were shocked with the fact that she was trapped in another world and had brought some of that world's inhabitants back with her. They weren't sure about the idea of letting the Planters stay with them until the two adults saw how much they mean to Anne. The frog family were the ones who looked after their daughter during those long months, the least they could do was return the favour. Even if it means placing the four in lock down, so the government won't discover the Planter's existence. The Boonchuy couple were also surprised with how much Anne has changed and was acting more responsible than she was before. As it meant that Anne has finally started to grow up, with Anne continuing to showcase that new found sense of responsible through her looking out for the Planters.
Despite the froggy additions to their household, Anne's return brought back some normality before her disappearance. Like having all three of them work at the restraint together and attending market day at the Thai temple again. Because of a lead Anne and the Planters uncovered, she didn't want to help her parents run their Thai Go! stall and didn't know why they had a large amount of food containers that weren't theirs. Until Anne learned that they were from the people who looked after her parents, from them being part of the same community. That is why Mrs. Boonchuy wanted Anne to join them, so their community can see that she has made it safely back home to them. Even though her parents helped her fight the robots that attacked the template, she wasn't ready to tell them the whole story just yet. Mrs. Boonchuy also made it her mission to get Anne to catch up on the other things she has missed or falling behind from her time away, like school work and a trip to the dentist. As time continued to past, the Planters had turned from guests to honorary members of the Boonchuy family, just as Anne was made an honorary member of their family.
After Anne's parents commented on how much she has changed and as started to do cures without being forced to do them, Anne started to feel guilty of keeping them in the dark about Andrias and the robot that had attacked her and the Planters twice. From how she was making them believe that she now perfect and no longer a trouble maker, Anne decided to come clear about the things she had been keeping from. Just as Anne was about to tell her parents, however, they get attacked by the robot and ran to Mrs. Boonchuy's work out room. Where Anne sees her mother's many hand made crafts of her daughter, the one of her as a doctor got Anne to believe that she still isn't reaching her mother's exputasions. While the Boonchuy couple are left wondering why the robot was after Anne, before they made their way to the car. As they get into a high speed chase until they reached the junk yard, where Mrs. Boonchuy demands Anne to tell them what is going on. Anne tells them that she doesn't know when she'll become the daughter they want her to be, but she is sure that together they can take out that robot. Due to how the robot had trouble finding Anne in the work out room, Anne asks her mother to put her art stills to use, before they attack it. Mr. Boonchuy tells the Planters that he isn't surprised by the fury his wife unleashed on the robot to protect their daughter. In order to keep the robot from trying to harm her family again, she reveals her powers to them. Anne intended to tell her parents the rest of the things that went down in Amphibia, but she passed out before she could. It is assumed that Anne had filled her parents in after she woke up. From how it was revealed that they do know about Andrias.
Having more experience than her parents do in facing dangers from Amphibia, Anne didn't want to throw them into deeper danger. Until they showed Anne how much they can handle themselves, after they saved Anne and the Planters from Mr. X and the rest of the government agents. Their encounter with the robot has the Boonchuy couple wanting to face those other dangers from the thrill they got from the first one.
Like most families, the Boonchuys love Christmas and were glad that Anne had made it home in time for the holiday. Anne always knew about her mother's dream to have a Thai Go! flout for the Christmas parade, but with both Andrias and Mr. X after them and they didn't want to risk the Planter's safety, Mrs. Boonchuy had to turn down the offer to finally have her dream realised. Seeing the sadness her mother tried to hide and wanting to pay her parents back for all they have done for her, Anne decided to make her mother's dream come true. While presenting their parade flout as the best Christmas gift ever. Despite the risk of having three mutant frogs parading in front of the whole city. With help from the Thai community and the other people she befriended since her return to earth, Anne was able to finish the flout on time for the parade. During the parade Mrs. Boonchuy tells Anne why she had always wanted to be part of it, due to the struggles she and her husband went through when they came to the US and wanting to be part of their community as well. Anne's time as a outsider got her to understand what her parents might have done through and was glad that she could help them. Even though Andrias's murderous Santa robot cut things short, it didn't spoil things for them. Along with Mr. Boonchuy assessing in taking the perfect Christmas photo for their card. On Christmas day, Anne gives her mother the blue butterfly she got for her in Amphibia.

The attention and support of this familyship was low for a meagre part of the first two seasons, from how fans were more focused on the family bonds that Anne has formed with the Planters and with only her mother being mentioned every now and again. Until the first part of season three finally had Anne be reunited with her parents. Along with the first half of the final season having Anne catching up and becoming closer to them, before returning back to Amphibia. Which gained the familyship of the Boonchuy family a descant amount of supporters. The Boonchuy couple being the only parents of the three human girls to be seen in the series has made them the favourite human parents of the Amphibia fandom, while many are left wondering what Sasha and Marcys' parents might be like and the relationships they may have with their daughters. Before the book, Marcy's Journal was published and revealed a few things about them through the thoughts of Marcy.
The tears in Mrs. Boonchuy's eyes when she was given the blue butterfly Anne had got for her, has fans believing that Anne might have told her mother how she got it. Since her actions that day would no doubt make Mrs. Boonchuy proud of Anne, for putting someone else before herself.
