Labyrinth Game Arc[]
Oga initially went by the name Yatsume, pretending to be like the rest of the group trapped there forced to play these death games until it was finally down to Boruto and she revealed her true identity as Oga, the 8th Kara inner.
Boruto was initially shocked and felt betrayed by Oga, questioning why she did this and she explains that it was to try and regain her reason for living by observing everyone else's, since Jigen caused irreparable damage to her that made her forget. Oga says she was close to almost finding her reason for living but since Boruto figured out her genjutsu ploy she didn't get the chance to. Boruto says what she did was unforgivable and she agrees, she then tells Boruto how to free himself and everyone else from the genjutsu and end the game for good.
Oga tells him that killing her will wake him up, but Boruto questions why she cant wake up and save everyone instead, realizing that she actually doesnt intend to wake up and plans on staying behind. Oga is disappointed at him seeing through her and Boruto asks why did she tell such a lie, she then explains that during their final moments leading up to now she realized that she didnt have much time yet and decided she wanted Boruto to be the one to kill her and wake everyone up. Boruto refuses, Oga tells him she no longer has the willpower to wake up and Boruto says that he'll help her find it, a reason to live.
As one of the pillars fall Boruto grabs Oga's hands and pulls her away safely, as the genjutsu realm begins to collapse Boruto grabs Oga's hand and begins running away from the falling debris. Oga protests the entire time telling him to give up on her but he refuses, saying that he doesnt want to leave anyone behind. As the exit is about to be closed off Boruto uses his Boruto stream to launch himself with Oga in his arms to make it through the exit before its closed off.
Oga tells Boruto that his feelings are amazing, but its impossible to save everyone and that when desires conflicts with one another unhappiness is sure to follow, but Boruto says for him he doesnt want to make anyone unhappy. Oga asks him how he can say that with such confidence and Boruto responds that its because what he has isnt a desire but a dream.
Boruto leans in close to Oga and tells her to find hers, a dream that will stir her heart, causing Oga to blush. The ground Oga is standing on suddenly crumbles away and Oga falls before Boruto can catch her, she clings onto the edge of the floating rubble and Boruto uses his shadow clones as a ladder to reach her. Oga reaches for Boruto at first but gives up saying that its impossible, Boruto tells her that its not impossible and that she can do it, Oga opens her eyes and looks at Boruto still reaching down for her. She reaches out for him again and this time successfully grabs his hand which also causes her to wake up in the real world. She crawls over to remove the scroll and wake everyone up but leaves quickly before they do.
Once everyone is awake and free Boruto just watches them from a distance happy to see everyone ok, Shamo then comes over to him and brings him a letter left by Oga. Boruto reads it and in the letter Oga apologizes for leaving so rudely without saying goodbye but that she finally found her own dream and would see him again in the future once her excitement has calmed, she doesnt tell him what her dream is and instead tells him to try and guess the answer while he waits. Boruto smiles affectionately at the letter but expresses mild disappointment at not being told what the dream is, but accepts that he 'has no choice' in the matter and looks forward to the day they'll meet again.

BoruOga is a pretty obscure pairing, but it has its supporters. People mainly ship them because of their relationship during the Labyrinth Game Arc in the anime and how Boruto, no matter how much Oga objected, refused to abandon her. Despite her betrayal, Boruto still refused to let her go and pushed her to find her dream, which in the end she did and the two look forward to seeing each other again in the future, which added to the appeal of the ship amongst fans. Its rival pairings are BoruSara, BoruMitsu, and BoruSumi.

- Oga is the only other girl he's went above and beyond to save and inspired to find their dream and reason for living, the first was Sumire.
- Boruto refused to give up on Oga despite it being the easiest way to wake him and everyone up
- Boruto told Oga that he wouldn't leave her behind no matter what
- Boruto went out of his way numerous times for her despite the risks to his own life
- Oga wanted Boruto to be the one to kill her to wake everyone up
- Boruto carried Oga bridal style in order to save her from the collapsing surroundings, similar to how Naruto carried Hinata the same way as they were escaping from the moon.
