Bowdorf is the slash ship between Bowser and Ganondorf from the Super Smash Bros. fandom.
Canon[]
Bowser and Ganondorf are both the main villains of their respective series. They are the kings of their respective tribes, the Koopas and the Gerudo and are directly leading them in a war against the more peaceful residents of their worlds. They are both known to kidnap the princesses of their respective games Peach and Zelda, though Bowser is genuinely in love with Peach, Ganondorf doesn't care about Zelda and mostly kidnaps her for the sake of furthering his own goals. Within the Super Smash Bros. series, they both had their debut in Melee and are classified as heavyweights. In addition, Ganondorf has a demon form named "Ganon" that shares a number of similarities with Bowser.
Super Smash Bros. Melee[]
The final Event Match, 51 "The Showdown" has the player fight against Giga Bowser, Ganondorf and Mewtwo with no time limit and three stocks each.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]
Event Match 40, "The Final Battle" has the player fight Bowser, Ganondorf and King Dedede on Final Destination, which is repeated in 4.
Co-op Event 20, "The Final Battle for Two" has the players fight against a number of villainous (morally ambiguous in the case of Meta Knight) opponents, including Bowser and Ganondorf.
The Subspace Emissary[]
Bowser and Ganondorf are co-captains of the Subspace Army. When Bowser is trying to hunt down Diddy Kong after having already captured Donkey Kong, Ganondorf stops him, telling him that finding King Dedede has priority as he has stolen Wario's (another ally of the Subspace Army) trophies. Having found the trophy of one of the captured princesses and sent a giant shadow copy of Diddy Kong against Team Star Fox, Bowser considers his work done and returns to Ganondorf on the Subspace Gunship. Destroying the Halberd together, but not being prepared for Kirby destroying their gunship in return, the two of them flee into Subspace. However, once they enter it, Ganondorf betrays Bowser and turns him into a trophy by a Dark Cannon. Though once he is brought back by King Dedede and convinced to defeat Tabuu with the heroes, Bowser stumbles across Ganondorf's trophy and wastes no time thrashing it while Ganondorf is helplessly trapped inside. Nonetheless, Bowser and Ganondorf both join the resistance against Tabuu, though seemingly never made amends.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS[]
One of the new Event Matches is called "Beautification" and centers around Rosalina flowering two Bowsers and Ganondorfs.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]
Bowser and Ganondorf are regular bosses as Giga Bowser and Ganon.
Fanon[]
Bowdorf is a rarepair in the fandom, despite their many similarities. This may be because people generally prefer shipping Ganondorf with more humanoid members of the cast. To get around this issue, some people humanize Bowser, having Human-Bowser heavily resembling Ganondorf, Bowser tends to retain his mohawk to distinguish them, which is then exaggerated by having Human-Bowser dress like a punk.
Though somewhat rare, some people also ship them as Bowser and Ganon, often having Ganon be directly based on his depiction of the NES/SNES era. Many find the goofier design for Ganon to be a better match for Bowser than the more realistic, borderline uncanny versions often seen in more modern Zelda games.
