- “Suitcase: "Doing the right thing doesn't mean the right thing happens back to you. But you give yourself a better chance when you don't go through life alone. When you find someone who's earned your trust. I've been lucky enough to find friends like that. I hope one day... maybe you'll have someone you can trust, too."
Box: "I-I wanna say you've earned mine, but.
Suitcase: Hey, it's no rush.” - — Suitcase and Box in Objects in Mirror

"Objects in Mirror"[]
In this episode (The final episode of Season 2) It is revealed that the previously inanimate Box once was actually alive. She has been stuck in a void for years, and chooses not to leave because the only means of escape is too risky. After Suitcase (and everyone else) dies in S2 E17 "Through No Choice of Your Own", Suitcase too enters that void. She has a hallucination, repeating what happened in S2 E11 "Kick The Bucket" where tentacles drag her down into the water, only this time, she doesn't fight it. That is, until, she sees a silhouette of Box, when she breaks free and gets to the surface. She hears a voice, who turns out to be Box. They then introduce themselves to each other. Box then takes Suitcase to what she calls "the epicenter" where there is a giant tablet with everyone connected to MePhone on it. They then tell each other how they died. Box tells Suitcase about the means of escape, but it's too risky. It's a race, and if the line catches up to you, you die. Suitcase asks about Bow and Dough (who are both ghosts at the time of the episode) and Box says she watched them die, confusing her. They then run into Balloon and Fan, who are surprised at the sight of alive Box as they never knew she wasn't inanimate. They bring everyone to the races, and all set off. Suitcase asks Box if they are coming, but Box's answer is cut off by the race starting. Box and Suitcase later make it to the goal. Box and Suitcase swap the egg with a glowing cherry grenade. It works and Cobs is killed by the grenade's explosion.
Fanon[]
Boxcase was a rarepair in the community, although the ship has gotten decently popular ever since the S2E18 came out. Previously, Box wasn't shipped often due to just being an inanimate box, meaning "he" couldn't exactly interact with people. This changed in the finale where Box came back to life. Viewers liked how the two's personalities clashed with each other. Their personalities were perfect for each other and since they were a Not So Different trope, viewers started shipping the two heavily together. Their rival ship is Knifecase on Suitcase's side.
