Brave Swan is the femslash ship between Emma Swan and Merida from the Once Upon A Time fandom.

Dark Swan[]
Emma is running after a wisp when it's grabbed out of the air by a woman holding a bow, who places it in a satchel. She runs after the woman and accidentally uses her magic to make her fall. The woman, Merida, then stands up and aims her bow at Emma, telling her not to test her. Emma says she wasn't trying to hurt her, and Merida sarcastically asks if it was just a magical love tap. She says she's met a number of witches before but Emma says she's not a witch, but cursed with dark magic. Merida doesn't see a difference, but Emma wants to be rid of it and needs the wisp to do that. Merida then lowers her bow and says that she understands what it's like to be cursed. She says that Emma is lucky to not be a bear, much to Emma's confusion and Merida says to nevermind it. Merida says that she wishes she could help, but needs the wisp herself, so Emma is going to have to fight her for it. She places her bow down and forms fists, but Emma says that she won't. Merida's surprised and Emma says that even without magic it would be giving into the darkness. She tells Merida to take the wisp and Merida tells her not to try and distract her. Emma says she's not and tells Merida to go. She thanks her and asks is Emma's in trouble. Emma says that she is, and Merida says that she might be able to help. Emma isn't sure, and Merida says that she can take her to where wisps are born and that maybe they can both get them if they go together.

Brave Swan is a rairpair in the OUAT fandom. While the two did have a fair number of scenes together in the first half of season 5, it didn't gain a lot of fans. Mostly due to shippers already having their preferred Emma pairing at this point, making it harder for the ship to build a fanbase. The two also didn't interact much after the first half of the season, and their relationship wasn't all the deep. It also didn't help that most of their Stoorybrooke scenes were spent with Emma as the Dark One controlling and using Merida. Making it harder for some to ship them, given how not a lot of their scenes showed positive aspects of their relationship. On AO3, there is currently one written work.
