BuckTeeth is the slash ship between Jax and Caine from the The Amazing Digital Circus fandom.

Canon

The duo share very minimal interactions. In the Pilot, Jax queries Caine when witnessing Pomni's arrival, expressing his disdain if they have to redo the theme song if Pomni isn't an NPC. Later on, he questions him again, asking if Caine will conjure a new adventure as a welcoming gift for her. Caine fails to answer until five minutes later, which Jax points out. Although they appear to be on neutral terms, their relationship with the other is unknown.

Moments

• In Candy Carrier Chaos!, in Pomni's nightmare, they are seen standing alongside each other watching Pomni fall in the cellar.
• In The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor, Caine calls the crew "my meowing milkmaids", which Jax retorts to never refer to them that way again.

Fanon

BuckTeeth is a rarepair within the The Amazing Digital Circus fandom. Though it is true they possess different personalities, they are similar in means of craving fun, though their methods of entertainment are different. A notable feature to note is Jax complaining that their previous adventure didn't possess blood, terror, or violence in Candy Carrier Chaos!. The next episode, Caine creates a horror themed adventure that borders his normally family friendly events. Despite this, Jax still couldn't participate due to being tied up by Ragatha.

Overall, they can arguably be depicted as "chaotic" for Jax's desire to screw around and Caine's adventures often getting out of hand. They still activate the Opposites Attract trope, however, for Caine's bubbly and energetic personality contrasts with Jax's sarcasm and offensive behavior. Despite their romantic interpretation in parts of the fanbase, fanart often depict Jax screaming at Caine for keeping him trapped in the circus. Additionally, many headcanon the reason why Jax bears the keys to all doors in the circus is out of hope one of them will lead to the exit. Since Caine purposely lies about an exit, this arguably activates the Please, Don't Leave Me trope.

A notorious yet controversial theory in the fandom predicts Jax may be an NPC. This is said due to his narcissistic personality and different personality traits from most of the crew members along with other supposed hints. When Caine claimed he cannot continue allowing NPCs into the circus after "murdering" Gummigoo. This heavily suggests he permitted access to a previous NPC, which could possibly be hinting towards Jax. However, Gooseworx, the official author of the series, denied this theory by stating all circus members are indeed humans.

Trivia

• In the Polish dub, Caine calls the crew "Skibidi Sigmas" in The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor. Both Caine and Jax's voice actors decide to voice over these lines, and Jax tells Caine to "never quote brainrot again".
