Burnt Sunflower is the poly ship between Aubrey, Sunny and Basil from the Omori fandom.

Canon

Aubrey and Basil were implied to have been friends before meeting the friend group of Sunny, Hero, Kel and Mari. They both live in the southern part of town, which is implied to be lower-income. Aubrey was the 5th person introduced to the friend group, and she later introduced Basil. Sometime after the incident, while visiting Basil, she saw that all the photos in Basil’s photo album were scribbled out. She stole the photo album and was able to clean off the marker scribbles. She began calling Basil names such as “creep,” a behaviors that was picked up by Aubrey’s new friend group: the Hooligans. Tension rose and Aubrey began outright bullying him. On two days left, she ended up pushing Basil into a lake accidentally, but he couldn’t swim. Thankfully, he was saved, but Kel was especially upset at her.

Basil and Sunny became best friends at some point. Basil mentions in a photo description that Sunny is a good listener and never seems to mind him talking a lot. After the incident, Basil has been shown to idolize Sunny, saying that it couldn’t have been him, “it was something behind [him].” In headspace, Basil describes Sunny as “perfect,” which could be Sunny subconsciously liking Basil, whether romantic or not.

In Memory Lane, it is confirmed that Sunny has had a crush on Aubrey. It is likely that he still does, given how Headspace Aubrey noticeably likes Omori, the headspace version of Sunny. This behaviors amplifies after meeting Aubrey on 3 days left. On one day left, as Aubrey, Kel, Sunny and Hero are heading to the treehouse, Kel and Hero go ahead, leaving Aubrey and Sunny alone. Aubrey tells Sunny that she has something to tell him, but is cut off by Kel, and changes her mind on wherever she was going to say.

Fanon

Overall, being a poly ship, burnt sunflower is a pretty uncommon ship. A lot of the art made for it, which isn't a lot, is from nonbinaryaubrey on Tumblr, and oftentimes they aren’t human. Despite being so unpopular, Sunflower and Sunburn (ships within burnt sunflower) are two of the most popular OMORI ships. This is usually shipped because of people who can't decide whether to ship Sunburn or Sunflower; it’s mostly seen as a V relationship and excludes Photobomb.
