Buxner is the slash ship between Remy Buxaplenty and Timmy Turner from The Fairly Oddparents! fandom.

Canon

Season 2

Timmy and Remy first met in the season two episode "Fairy Fairy Quite Contrary", in which their relationship already started on a sour note after Remy started one-upping Timmy at everything. After multiple other instances of this happening, Timmy realizes what exactly is going on and investigates deeper into the situation, finding out Remy not only has a bad home life, but also has his own fairy godparent. Around the same time, Remy finds out Timmy has godparents of his own, and challenges him to a magical duel. After competing in 3 different challenges, Timmy eventually wins and Remy has to lose his godparent as a punishment for his loss. However, Timmy still feels bad for him after everything that unfolded and made one final wish for him to have a way to spend more time with his parents, leading the Buxaplenty's to be stranded on a deserted island.

Season 5

After having been missing from the show for 3 seasons, Remy returned in the episode "Remy Rides Again", having had found a way to get off the island and back into Dimmsdale (said method of escape never being disclosed). He shows up to Dimmsdale Elementary School in a limousine, almost immediately approaching Timmy and grabbing everyone's attention, acting like he was going to reveal everything that had happened recently, until he got down onto one knee and grabbed onto Timmy's right hand, apologizing for how rudely he acted before and offers to make things better by becoming Timmy's new best friend. Timmy accepts the offer and they stay friends for a majority of the episode, with Remy doing various things to make Timmy's life better. Once things get too good, causing Cosmo and Wanda to nearly be reassigned to a different godkid, Remy approaches the group and admits this was all his plan, and he only befriended Timmy to make him less miserable, therefore meaning he'd lose Cosmo and Wanda. Eventually it's revealed this was all Jorgen's plan, and both kids get their respective godparents back.

Remy and Timmy would next interact in the episode "The Big Bash", where both godkids get invited to one of Cupid's parties, and are pitted against each other in a scavenger hunt. The two spend the episode using their godparents magic to outwit each other, yet end up tying. They find out that Cupid was using the scavenger hunt as an excuse to make them do his shopping, and form a temporary truce to get back at him.

In Remy's next appearance, "Operation F.U.N", their truce is mentioned again when Remy stops at Dimmsdale Elementary to tell Timmy and his friends about the F.U.N academy, which he describes as an amazing place. Because of this, Timmy wishes he and his friends had scholarships to the academy, only to learn they'd been tricked by Remy. He and Timmy confront each other, with Remy officially calling off their truce and revealing his ultimate plan to make Timmy even more miserable, part of which also involved taking Cosmo and Wanda and hiding them away so that Timmy couldn't make any wishes while there. Remy almost wins, but at the last minute Timmy manages to get his godparents free, allowing hi and his friends to escape from the academy.

Season 9

The episode "Country Clubbed" marked Remy's last appearance in the show, along with him and Timmy's last interactions. After the Buxaplenty's limousine ran over Timmy's parents, the Turner's were invited to the Fancy Schmancy Country Club. However, Timmy shortly gets kicked out of the club, having to go back disguised as a rich man, with Cosmo as his butler. Remy quickly takes a liking to the disguised Timmy, leading him and Cosmo into a movie theater were a mockumentary used to ridicule Timmy's parents was playing, leading Timmy to dislike the Buxaplenty family even more, tricking Cosmo into destroying not only the country club, but also their mansion and yacht.

Other Media

Taking place sometime in between the episodes "Fairy Fairy Quite Contrary" and "Remy Rides Again", the 2004 children's book "Scout's Honor" (not to be confused with the Oh Yeah! Cartoons short of the same name) starts with Remy being announced as the new leader of the Squirrely Scouts, a boy scouts troop Timmy is a part of. Remy tells the troop that they'll be his servants now, and Timmy objects, but everyone else is too drawn in by Remy's cash to go against him. Timmy, still peeved (both at Remy and at the scouts for doing as Remy said just because of money), stands back up to Remy and tells him about a badge that can only be won by completing 3 tasks. Remy insists that he could beat each challenge, and Timmy challenges him to yet another bet, this time that whoever can beat the challenges without cheating gets to be the next troop leader, and the loser has to serve the troop. Remy beats him in the first two contests due to using his money to secretly cheat, but just as he was about to win the last one, Remy got caught cheating, making Timmy the winner of the bet by default.

Fanon

Being one of the most popular ships in the fandom, Buxner gained notoriety in the early to mid 2010's on sites such as Tumblr, Fanfiction.net, Deviantart, and AO3. Most shippers were/are fans of the enemies/rivals to lovers trope, with that likely being a factor as to why it was so popular among shippers in the fandom. In this recent year, the ship has gained more popularity among the fandom again after the 2024 series "The Fairly Oddparents: A New Wish" aired, with content also migrating to sites like Twitter and Tiktok. Newer fans of the franchise have taken notice to the parallels between Buxner and the more recent Devzel pairing, primarily with how both ships consist of the main character falling in love with a richer rival. The most popular rival ships of Buxner are JimmyTimmy, TimToot, and TimTrix.
