Camning is the slash ship between Cameron Wilkins and Lightning Jackson in the Total Drama fandom.
Canon[]
Total Drama Revenge of the Island[]
In "Bigger! Badder! Brutal-er!", when Cameron is struggling to swim, Lightning grabs Cameron with one hand, offering to save him and starts heading back to shore with him. Lightning mistakenly believes Cameron is a girl, which Cameron attempts to correct him about.
In "Up, Up And Away In My Pitiful Balloon", Lightning notices how Jo is trying to keep Cameron's knowledge for herself and ends up in a battle with her for Cameron's loyalty during the first challenge. While chasing Heather, Lightning convinces Cameron to stand up for himself, turning Cameron against Jo.
In "Eat, Puke and Be Wary", at the beginning of the episode, Cameron believes he has to get Lightning's vote to eliminate Scott. Cameron tries to talk to Lightning while he's playing basketball, but Lightning ignores him. The two team up in the challenge once more, Cameron promises to take the tracking collars off if Lightning takes him to the finishing line in return, with Lightning accepting. Cameron rewires his watch which removes the collars and Lightning goes to fulfill his side of the deal. When Cameron starts slowing down and gets tired, he asks Lightning if he can ride on his back, with Lightning replying he's in it for himself. Lightning runs off but unknown to him, Cameron is on his back. When Lightning backs up into the pole as a celebration, Cameron gets the win. Lightning is mad at this and in the confessional, vows to get revenge on Cameron for stealing his win.
In "The Enchanted Franken-Forest", Lightning is still fuming at Cameron for stealing his win. He has a dummy doll of Cameron that he keeps beating up. Cameron is shaken to the core by Lightning, thinking he has no chance of facing off against him. The challenge is to go into the Franken-Forest and steal a flower from Larry. Cameron is about to do this when Lightning swoops in on a vine and knocks him out of the way, taking the flower for himself. Even though Lightning has exacted his revenge and stolen a win from Cameron, he still says that he's not done with him yet and takes Cameron to the finale with him so he can eat him alive.
In "Brains vs. Brawn: The Ultimate Showdown", Cameron and Lightning are the final two contestants facing off in the ultimate showdown. For the challenge, Cameron and Lightning both have robot suits and brawl it out in a Colosseum. Lightning taunts Cameron but Cameron mocks Lightning for not being smart enough to come up with a proper insult. Eventually, Lightning gets Cameron pinned down and is about to win. However, Cameron uses an electromagnetic pulse from his suit to turn Lightning into a giant magnet. This gets Lightning covered in metal barrels and ironically, struck by lightning. Lightning then faints and Cameron pins him down, winning the million dollars. Even though Cameron won and Lightning lost, Cameron is still generous enough to share some of his winning with Lightning.
Total Drama All-Stars[]
In "Heroes vs. Villains", Cameron and Lightning were introduced to Total Drama All-Stars but were placed on different teams, making their interactions pretty much non-existent.
In "Evil Dread", Lightning was voted off, which ended any possible interactions he could have with Cameron.
Fanon[]
Camning is an extremely common ship in the fandom. Despite this ship being non-canonical, it's a fitting couple to support, given how neither party has a canonical love interest to contradict it. However, it's still greatly rivaled by other non-canon ships such as Gwemeron, LightnAnne, and Light of Dawn.
