Candanari is the het ship between Candace and Tighnari from the Genshin Impact fandom.
Canon[]
Tighnari and Candace were allies in defeating the grand plan to manually create a god hosted by the twisted scholars. The duo aren't seen making direct contact with each other. This leaves blank spaces in their relationship that are filled by comparing their characterization. Both are notably very strong leaders that are protective of their comrades, and or people in the Forest Watcher and Guardian sense. Candace is described as a well-respected gentle woman but can become brass and terrifying when provoked.
Tighnari in contrast is generally strict and harsh with others whom he believes require it. This doesn't abolish the fact that he is a truly good-natured person with a golden heart. Their loyalty to life and their prestigious positions is what makes their characters stick out among others. However, when offered to be referred to as "General Watchleader" Tighnari refused to claim an overbearing title. Candace is notably much more powerful than Tighnari.
Her blessing from the gods is what summons her extreme capabilities that overcomes most. This can arguably activate the Amazon Chaser trope if the two were to have a direct relationship. This doesn't dismiss Tighnari's strength, however. Overall, they're both reliable persons with big hearts and strong souls.
Fanon[]
The ship has little to no recognition from the fandom. They're often overshadowed by popular ships such as Cynonari and Candehya. Fans who do come across this ship tend to pair them in a platonic perspective underneath the quaint and unnoticed possibility of them becoming romantic. Fans who do deem this ship as romantic may enjoy it for their similar characterization. Candace's interesting redemption as a former Treasure Hoarder arguably forms an alluring plot for not only her character, but for a relationship.
The Amazon Chaser trope is a popular dynamic among various fanbases, and fans of the Candanari ship may come to enjoy it for Candace generally being the more dominant member in the relationship. Tighnari's strict personality conjoining with Candace's much more gentle one sparks the Red Oni, Blue Oni trope, another common fan favorite. The Tiny Guy, Huge Girl trope is commonly viewed as an adorable dynamic for heterosexual relationships, and those of that opinion may come to enjoy the duo for fitting that category.
It's possible that the ship could be inspired by Cyno's relationship with Candace himself. With Tighnari being best friends with the General Mahamatra and Candace being good friends with him, it's possible that it influenced fans to forge a connection between Tighnari and Candace.
