Season 2[]
MANHATTAN PROJECT
Leo, Raph and Mikey are sent through a portal by a Kraang, leaving Donnie, April and Casey behind. Just as their about to try and follow, a Kraang closes it, trapping them in the sub dimension with a Kraang in a monstrous body. Casey tells them that he's got this, and knocks part of it through a portal. Donnie and April then push it, till it falls all the way through. April says that was too close, and Casey asks Donnie how they're going to get out of here. He calls him "gap tooth" and Donnie fires back with calling him "Cave Mouth". April looks through a portal and tells them to stop, and shows them another part of Dimension X. The Kraang then spot them, and tell them to surrender. Donnie tells the other two to play along, and they put their hands up. Casey adds that he doesn't count this as a surrender, much to Donnie's annoyance and April's confusion.
They are lead into a portal to a subway tunnel, and Donnie says at least they're in New York. Casey asks if they mentioned feeding them something, since he's hungry, and April says that it was that they were going to feed them to something. Donnie says it was a Kraathatrogon, and he has no idea what it is. Casey decides not to wait and find out, and attacks one of the Kraang, April doing so as well. Donnie throws a ninja star at a pipe and it causes mist to fill the air so they can escape, and April leads them to a door, which Casey locks with his bat.
Donnie sees that they're in a subway tunnel which no one uses anymore, and April hears a gross slobbering sound. They see a Kraang outpost with several worm like creatures, which Donnie assumes are the Kraathatrogon's. Casey says that "Space Worms" are easier to pronounce, just as one smashes the ground causing the area to rumble. Donnie puts it together that the Kraathatrogon's have been causing quakes, and Casey asks why the Kraang would bring them here. April points out a Kraang plugging something into the worm and mutagen filling the pipes. Donnie realizes that this is where mutagen comes from, and April is disgusted. She then tells Casey to stop grabbing her butt, only to look down and realize that it's actually a baby worm creature. Casey and April freak out and Casey hits it with his hockey stick. The Kraang then hear them and release a Kraathatrogon, and Casey says that he doesn't have a big enough hockey stick for it.
The three run away from the worm, and April says they have to slow it down. Casey says he's got it, and April yells at him not to. He throws a spray paint grenade, but it doesn't seem to help and he has to run back. Donnie jumps onto a ladder, and sticks out his bo staff for April to grab on. She climbs on, and he sticks it out for Casey, but he misses and the worm swallows him. April starts to cry and Donnie holds her, saying how sorry he is.
They visit Kurtzman to figure out what's going on with the worms, when April suddenly gets a call from Casey. They find out he's alive, but inside the worm, and return to the tunnels to try and save him. They use salt to get it to throw him up, and Casey and April hug when reunited, much to Donnie's annoyance. He realizes that they're in the Kraang outpost, where a giant worm is being pulled through. Donnie has a plan to send it back to Dimension X, but needs Casey and April to cause a diversion. April asks what kind, and Casey says to leave it to him.
Donnie is able to reverse the portal as it starts to suck everything into it instead. Casey and April fly towards it, but Donnie throws out his staff, Casey grabbing it and April grabbing him. He shuts down the portal, and everyone is okay. April hugs Donnie for saving the city, and Casey says he's gonna take back every mean thing he's ever said about him. He says he rules and the two share a fistbump.

Capritello is a common pairing in the TMNT 2012 fandom, although is very rare in other versions of the turtles. This is due to the love triangle between the three in 2012 series. One of the more common solutions that people see to love triangles, is to just ship all three characters together. And this extends to April, Donnie and Casey. Fans of the ship love when the three team up for an episode, especially when Casey and Donnie don't spend the whole time fighting over April. Those moments cause many to see the potential of the ship, and wish for more where all three of them getting along.
On AO3, Capritello is the tenth most written ship for April and Casey. There are currently 140 written works.
