Captainshipping is the slash ship between Captain Falcon and Captain Olimar from the Super Smash Bros. fandom.
Canon[]
Captain Falcon and Olimar are both captains in the sense that they are pilots. They both own and fly spaceships, the Blue Falcon and the S.S Dolphin, respectively. Barring color scheme, their costumes are fairly similar as they both wear helmets.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]
Outside of their interactions in the Subspace Emissary, there's also the twelfth Co-op Event, "Come Back, Falcon Flyer!". In it, Captain Falcon and Olimar team up to defeat two Samuses in under 30 seconds.
The Subspace Emissary[]
While Olimar and his Pikmin are hard at work trying to defeat a giant R.O.B., only to lose a bunch of them when the robot twirls his arms around, a red Pikmin approaches Olimar, warning him about something coming. Soon enough, the Blue Falcon speeds by and Captain Falcon jumps out, coming to Olimar's rescue by giving the R.O.B. a Falcon Punch. The R.O.B. topples over and Captain Falcon celebrates his victory by sliding through the Pikmin and striking a pose, killing nearly all of them in the process. Olimar just stands there and stares at Captain Falcon while a faint wind blows. Regardless, the two of them decide to team up against the Subspace Army.
Upon reaching the edge of the Isle of the Ancients, Captain Falcon spies a group of Primids flying by with Donkey Kong's trophy, only to see Falco Lombardi carrying Diddy Kong in his Arwing, dropping him on the Primids like a bomb. When he sees Diddy Kong annihilating the Primids with his Peanut Popgun, Falcon smirks and grabs Olimar by the waist, jumping towards them. Olimar's body language when falling down clearly indicates that he did not agree to this. After Diddy Kong frees Donkey Kong, Captain Falcon and Olimar joins them, with Falcon giving them a characteristic greeting. They are then ambushed by another group of Primids, Captain Falcon and the Kongs take a fighting stance, Olimar just stands there, shaking his head. They manage to defeat them and the two captains watch the Kongs do their victory dance as they see Falco speeding by, giving all four of them a thumbs up (feathers up?). But then the Cargo carrying them docks into the Subspace Bomb Factory, separating them from Falco.
Moving through the factory, they use Donkey Kong's strength to break into the Ancient Minister's room, right when Samus and Pikachu were about to infiltrate it themselves. All six of them witness Ganondorf giving the R.O.B.'s command to detonate all the Subspace Bombs, only to also witness the Ancient Minister betraying Ganondorf, shielding the bombs from his own minions to prevent them from being detonated. When Ganondorf gives order to detonate them anyway, the Ancient Minister begins attacking his minions, Ganondorf orders them to shoot at him, burning his robes. All of the heroes try to stop the Subspace Army, only Olimar can't do anything, being completely helpless without his Pikmin. With the minister's robes burned off, he's revealed to be the R.O.B., who earns the trust of the heroes by helping them against another attack of the Subspace Army. When destroying the Subspace R.O.B.s proves fruitless, Captain Falcon gives command to take their allied R.O.B. with them and escape the factory before all the Subspace Bombs detonate in unison. Having all six of his allies land safely in his Falcon Flyer, Captain Falcon wastes speeding out of the place, only to be pursued by Meta-Ridley, managing to defeat him throughh teamwork just before the entire Isle is consumed by Subspace.
The group then joins the other remaining heroes, with all of them boarding the Halberd. Taking on the Subspace Gunship together, they fail as the Halberd is destroyed by a single hit. However, the heroes were prepared and assumed attack formation in their respective spaceships: Samus' own gunship, the Falcon Flyer, the Arwing and Olimar's Hocotate Freight. They were soon joined by Kirby's Dragoon, who also destroys the Subspace Gunship by slicing through it. With all five ships entering Subspace, the heroes thought that they were a match against its forces, only to be effortlessly turned into trophies by Tabuu. They were later saved by Sonic destorying Tabuu's wings, stripping him from his power, and Kirby, Luigi, Ness and King Dedede working together to free everyone from their trophy, preparing for the real final battle against Tabuu.
Fanon[]
Captainshipping is a rarepair in the Super Smash Bros. fandom, but it's considered Olimar's main ship and the only one that technically doesn't count as a crackship.
People generally found the sheer contrast between the two captains to be hilarious, thus some people really love the idea of them falling in love with each other.
