CarDev is the het ship between Carrie and Devin in the Ridonculous Race fandom.

When they debuted in "None Down, Eighteen to Go - Part 1", Carrie and Devin were introduced under the team name, "Best Friends". Carrie told everyone that she met Devin in the sandbox when they were kids and that they've been best friends ever since. It was immediately apparent that Carrie was in love with Devin, when she was seen blushing as she gazed lovingly at him. However, Devin didn't seem to pick up on this at all, which was disappointing to Carrie. Also, Devin brought up having a girlfriend named Shelley, who lived back at home. For their first challenge, Devin and Carrie climbed the CN tower and ziplined across Lake Ontario. Carrie was a kind and supportive enough friend to Devin to use this as an opportunity to help Devin conquer his fear of heights.
In "None Down, Eighteen to Go - Part 2", Carrie did a solo confessional, where she admitted that she was madly in love with Devin and had been ever since they were 4 years old and Devin peed in her turtle pool. However, she was being held back from asking him out because he was still dating Shelley. It was at this moment, Carrie realized that Shelley would be watching this all on television and she just admitted her true feelings for her boyfriend. For their challenge, Carrie and Devin had to test some spices and race across the deserts of Morocco. Because of their strong and inseparable friendship, the two completed the challenge without breaking a sweat. At the end of the episode, Devin and Carrie were the first ones to the chill zone.
In "French is an Eiffel Language", Carrie and Devin went to Paris, France, where the challenge was for Carrie to draw a caricature of Devin. Carrie let her emotions go wild as she depicted Devin as a hunky shirtless god with a six-pack of washboard abs, posing sexily in a heart of angels and flowers. The art critique rejected this artwork and it did not pass the test. When Devin looked at it, he claimed that it was because it was "too realistic". For the second half of the challenge, Carrie fell off a wall and Devin grabbed her, saving her from hitting the ground. Devin called her "m'lady" and Carrie was flustered.
In "Mediterranean Homesick Blues", Carrie and Devin's speedboat broke down in the middle of the Mediterranean sea but they used their oars to paddle themselves to Iceland. In the end, they came in 14th place.
In "Bjorken Telephone", Devin brought up how his girlfriend back at home, Shelley, once locked him out of the car for buying her the wrong kind of tea. Carrie believed that Devin deserved so much better than Shelley. Unfortunately, Devin was blind to how evil of a girlfriend Shelley was and also to how much better than her Carrie was. During the challenge, Devin got his foot stuck in an Icelandic geyset and Carrie helped pull him out.
In "Brazilian Pain Forest", Devin helped Carrie across a log bridge and also busted open a coconut for her to retrieve their next travel tip.
In "Hawaiian Honeyruin", Carrie hugged Devin for luck and blushed. The challenge was to fish a diamond ring out of the ocean. Carrie got the ring and when Devin called her "amazing", causing Carrie to squeal with glee. Kitty overheard Carrie squealing and was quick to deduce that Carrie was in love with Devin. Kitty talked to Carrie about this and Carrie told her the situation about him and Shelley and begged her to keep it a secret. Kitty promised not to tell Devin but she told him that "someone should". Kitty later encouraged Carrie to ask out Devin again, letting her know that he might just feel the same way. The next part of the challenge called for Devin to carry Carrie over a bunch of hot coals. Carrie thought this was so romantic and she loved him so much. The two of them faced another challenge, when The Ice Dancers approached them. However, the ice dancers tripped and fell, letting Carrie and Devin beat them out for second place. After the challenge, Carrie started to proclaim her feelings for Devin but kind of felt obligated to keep quiet when Devin brought up how he liked how non-romantic their relationship is, especially compared to his relationship with his girlfriend, Shelley.
In "Hello and Dubai", Devin encouraged Carrie to do her challenge of racketing tennis balls, telling her that he believed in her. Carrie was so motivated to win but when Devin brought up Shelley, it threw Carrie off her game and made her lose her racket. Devin and Carrie ended up tied for last with Mother and Daughter, so Carrie and Devin tried to motivate her by giving her the advice "What Would Shelley Do". This pissed Carrie off and made her get mad and storm off. After some time, Carrie finally swatted the tennis ball and broke the machine so she and Devin hurried their way over to the chill zone. Fortunately for them, when they made it there, they had just barely beaten out Kelly and Taylor for second-to-last place. The Best Friends stayed in the race, while Mother and Daughter were eliminated.

CarDev is one of the most commonly shipped pairings from The Ridonculous Race. Although their storyline can be seen as somewhat generic, supporters admire the simplicity of their relationship. People kind of like the nickname, “Homie”, that Devin gave to Carrie, even if it does seem like he was unintentionally friendzoning her. A few pairings that oppose CarDev are Cryan, Carunior, and/or Shevin, none of which compare to CarDev in popularity.
