Canon[]

In Season 1, it's established that Ivy and her brother Zack are close teammates with Carmen and help a lot on her missions to steal back precious artefacts from V.I.L.E. Ivy is shown to be trusted with some of Carmen's gadgets and even plays as Carmen's double in a red coat to throw off their adversaries.

Ivy is shown to have a lot of admiration for Carmen, even if she doesn't understand some of her tactics. She even cares for Carmen's wellbeing when she's in distress. Carmen shows the same for Ivy, in particular when Ivy jumps on a V.I.L.E. truck on the Sticky Rice Caper to unlock it but ends up clinging to the open door. Carmen tries to help by shooting a line but Tigress stops her, luckily Ivy jumped into Zack's car to safety.

Ivy shows some suspicion to Shadowsan at first due to Carmen's stories about him but is cool with him later on when he joins Team Red.

In Season 2, there is shown more development with Ivy and her dedication to Carmen.

In the Boston Tea Party Caper, Ivy and Zack talk about how they met Carmen (which was alluded to in Th Sticky Rice Caper). Ivy and Zack used to be in the racing championships. Ivy built a race car for Zack to drive named Lydia but it ended up crashing in one of the races when Zack tried to one-up his nemesis, Trey Sterling. The guy who gave them the money for the car and was promised to be paid back with the prize money from the race told them to steal from a donut shop called Daryl's Donut Hole, being referenced to have the worst donuts. They ended up meeting Carmen inside, who told them to leave for their own safety which Ivy was convinced was because Carmen wanted the money to herself.

The siblings see the large sum of money hidden in a giant vault and Carmen heads off, leading Ivy to decide to follow her. Carmen steals their car keys but Ivy manages to get the car started by working with the wires much to Carmen's dismay. Carmen crashes her car into a ditch when trying to keep up with the van, leading Zack and Ivy to catch up to her. Carmen then squeezes into the car next to Ivy, telling them to follow the van with Ivy remarking her as "bossy". They found out the van was going to the harbor, Zack remarking he knew a shortcut. Ivy and Zack talk about the amount of money being loaded could pay off their car, if not even get them more cars. Carmen asked them if they couldn't ask a family member for money, Ivy telling her that they were the only family they had which Carmen sympathetically understood. Ivy and Zack were ready to follow the van but Carmen used some found rope to tie them up, remarking it was for their safety. Ivy was resilient, however, hopping all the way to the boat but ended up getting caught by El Topo. Carmen saw this and Le Chevre threatened to throw them overboard if Carmen didn't hand over the money plates, which she surrendered but Ivy and Zack attacked to protect Carmen.

Carmen then asked Ivy for help with throwing an anchor to the top of the boat, calling her "muscles". Ivy agrees and once she gets it secure, she holds the rope for Carmen and calls her "milady'. Ivy brings up an idea for a gadget on the wrist with a hook, making a click sound and Carmen looked over, smiling down at her. Zack and Ivy find the money, stuffing a lot in their shirts but the rest of it would be used by V.I.L.E. to buy an estate in Boston. To prevent this, they dumped in it all in the ocean similar to the Boston Tea Party. After Carmen defeats Le Chevre, Carmen talks about how she's there to stop them. Ivy asks why not tell the police, which Carmen tells her and Zack they don't know V.I.L.E. exists. She then remarks that the money they pocketed was technically stolen and if they're found spending it, they can be tracked and arrested which leads the siblings to dump it all in disappointment. Ivy and Zack end up joining Carmen to avoid getting into trouble with Sharkhead Eddy and Player brings up Carmen did need a getaway driver. Carmen then playfully brings up Ivy's wrist hook idea, which Ivy smiles and repeats the same noise.

When Ivy gets kidnapped in Stockholm by Moose and Otterman while Carmen is stranded in the freezing cold, Ivy is concerned and tries to think like Carmen, especially when she finds out Otterman is planning to give missal codes that could endanger innocent lives. Once she breaks free, Ivy puts on Carmen's coat and hat and goes to retrieve them until Zack comes to her rescue. Player tells them Carmen's location and drive there to see her picked up by A.C.M.E. Chief gives Carmen the choice to let them take her to the hospital or her friends do, which Carmen picks her friends. Zack questions if Carmen will be okay which Ivy anxiously tries to reassure him. Carmen, delirious from hypothermia, tries to resist and get the codes first which Ivy tells her is covered. Carmen asks who got them and Ivy smiles, telling her Carmen Sandiego did.

In the next episode, Carmen is taken to the hospital by Zack and Ivy under the story that her car slid into the snow for a couple of hours. She heals in the hospital and is snuck out by them, disguised as doctors. When they get into the car, Ivy is seen looking over Carmen with worry before they drive off. Carmen ends up healing at the warehouse, Zack, and Ivy cleaning the place up while Shadowsan took over on Carmen's capers.

Ivy is shown to be concerned for Carmen in some instances. When Carmen goes back to V.I.L.E. island, she dives into the ocean to look for any clues. Ivy waits for Carmen's return and is joyed when she resurfaces.

In Carmen Sandiego: to Steal or Not to Steal, Ivy and her brother get kidnapped by V.I.L.E. when they were on one of their capers, so Carman's former teachers could use her friends as leverage to make Carman work for them. If she doesn't do as they say or upsets them in anyway, they will erase Ivy and Zack's minds so they can make the two their newest V.I.L.E. optative's. The choices that players have Carman make in the mini-game short film can have her getting closer to save Ivy or gets V.I.L.E. to go along with their threat. Each time Carman manages to steal the items V.I.L.E. make her to get for them, they allow Carman to see her friends while Ivy and Zack give Carman secret messages to help her find them. Carman can either collect all of the items they want her to steal, before she can make her move to save Ivy and Zack, or can use the hidden facts the give Carman so she can save them once she is sure of the location that V.I.L.E. is holding them at.
