Carterwood is the femslash ship between Peggy Carter and Dottie Underwood from the Agent Carter fandom.

Season 1[]
A SIN TO ERR
Peggy is trying to escape from the agents, when she runs into Dottie. Dottie says that there's a bunch of scary men looking for her, but Peggy says that she was actually on her way out. Dottie asks if she'll see her at dinner, but Peggy says that she made other arrangements. Dottie hopes she has a good night and hugs her, only to pull back and kiss her. Peggy starts to feel dizzy when she realizes that Dottie stole her knockout lipstick. She falls to the ground, but is able to see that Dottie has been the one tailing her, and Dottie stands over her, pulling out a knife. She goes in for the kill, but is interrupted by Sousa and Thompson, quickly playing dumb as they grab Peggy. When Peggy wakes in the car, she glares out at Dottie as the car pulls away, while Dottie looks on smugly.
Season 2[]
THE LADY IN THE LAKE
As Dottie has the bank owner open the vault, Peggy knocks him out and pulls her gun on Dottie, telling her she's under arrest. Dottie puts her gun to the ground, but she and Peggy start fighting. Dottie asking if she got a new hairstyle during it. Dottie gets her hand on a gun, but Peggy knocks her out with a bag of coins before she can use it. Peggy arrests her and compliments Dottie on her hat.

Carterwood has a decent following among Agent Carter fans. It is often shipped by fans of enemies to lovers pairings. Although many prefer that they still stay enemies after they hook up. Fans also started to ship the two after Dottie kissed Peggy to knock her out. Which fans of the ship don't think she would have done if she wasn't already interested. Since she could have just as easily punched her to do so. Many fans often parrallel their relationship with Natasha's and Yelena's relationship in the comics. The Black Widow vs Shield Agent dynamic being appealing to many fans, especially since many assumed Dottie was originally going to be Yelena. The ship gained popularity during the events of Season 1 Episode 6 of Agent Carter “A Sin To Err” when Dottie kissed Peggy in an attempt to knock her out. Throughout the series, Peggy and Dottie show undeniable tension which puts them into the enemies to lovers trope perfectly.
On AO3, Carterwood is the most written ship for Dottie and the ninth most written for Peggy. It is also the sixth most written ship in the Agent Carter (TV) tag. There are currently 220+ written works.
