Celesjunko is the femslash ship between Junko Enoshima and Celestia Ludenberg from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon[]
Despite being from the same game, Junko and Celestia never interact on-screen due to Celestia dying before Junko is revealed as the Mastermind. They also do not share any interactions in the non-canonical Ultimate Talent Development Plan or Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp. Celestia is, however, shown to get along well with Mukuro Ikusaba, who is in disguise as Junko, suggesting that she would get along with the real Junko as well. The two also would have attended one year of school together at Hope's Peak before the Tragedy, and would have had the chance to get to know each other during that time. In one of the photographs that the survivors find in Hope's Peak, Celestia and Junko seem to be speaking with each other.
Both Junko and Celestia girls have a number of similarities. They are both willing to kill other people for the sake of a personal satisfaction. In Celestia's case, it was the promise of money, while in Junko's case, it was the chance to spread despair. Both are also intelligent, able to read people easily and are both rather dramatic and have a temper when their plans fall apart. Both also are willing to accept defeat when necessary.
They have similar hair choices, with each of them having long hair tied up in twin tails. While Junko's is more messy and unkempt, Celeste's is carefully styled. The careful decisions to maintain a specific aesthetic may attribute to Junko's former title as the Ultimate Fashionista and catch her eye for styling techniques. The two also wear some sort of accessory in their hair; Celestia wears a white lace-bonnet, while Junko has Monokuma hair pins.
Fanon[]
Celesjunko is a rarepair in the Danganronpa fandom. It is often rivalled by Celesgiri and Celesgami for Celeste, and Junkan and Junkozuru for Junko. Those who ship Celesjunko wish that they would have interacted more with each other. Whether in a Non-Despair!AU or not, Celesjunko is often portrayed in fan works as Junko being overly affectionate, almost to a toxic degree, while Celeste is more reserved, and sometimes hesitant, in her own affection towards Junko. Their extrovert/introvert tendencies with the same level of cunning makes for an interesting pairing. They may have opposite aesthetics, but they both require a similar amount of work into their appearance.
On AO3, there are currently 40+ written works. This is Celeste's seventh most popular ship, and Junko's tenth.

Trivia[]
- GothicGyaru was dubbed because it references Celeste's aesthetic as well as Junko's Ultimate talent in Japanese, Super High School Level Gyaru, "gyaru," being a Japanese fashion subculture. In fact, Gothic Gyaru (or Goshikku) is its own subculture, and the ship name exists as is to differentiate from it.
- Both girls are the only females confirmed to be the Blackened and executed in Trigger Happy Havoc, with Celeste being executed for being the Blackened in Chapter 3 for the murder of Kiyotaka Ishimaru and Hifumi Yamada, and Junko being executed for being the Blackened, being the Mastermind behind the Killing Game, in Chapter 6 for the murder of her sister, Mukuro Ikusaba.
