Celestojo is the femslash ship between Celestia Ludenberg and Kirumi Tojo from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon[]
Celestia is a character in Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc, and Kirumi is a character from Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. As such, the characters do not share a "canon" and do not interact. Additionally, both of the characters are canonically deceased. As they come from different games in the franchise, they would be considered a crossover ship, or a cross-game ship. In the world of Danganronpa v3, Celestia is a fictional character, so she and Kirumi could never truly meet.
The two have extremely limited interactions, only interacting in the non-canonical Ultimate Talent Development Plan. Kirumi brings Celestia her milk tea at lunch. Celestia thanks Kirumi and praises her milk tea, stating it is the best royal milk tea she has ever tasted. She goes on to express disappointment at how Kirumi is female, as she would make the perfect person to serve at her castle if she was a handsome man. Kirumi responds by inquiring if Celestia would prefer a butler to which Celestia agrees, but says there are few as talented as Kirumi. Kirumi goes on to recommend a butler service to Celestia, who acknowledges they must be an incredible service if Kirumi is recommending them.
Despite sharing only one interaction, Celestia and Kirumi share much in common. They are both blackends in their respective killing games, and are among those who kill with the most "selfish" reasons. They both dress in a gothic-lolita fashion, and have a very similar visual aesthetic. The two are both very serious, polite, and elegant young women. Celestia has always longed to be waited on both hand and foot, and Kirumi is a maid who devotes herself fully to her craft. While Celestia would prefer a butler over a maid, it is shown through their UTDP interaction that she believes Kirumi to be the best of the best when it comes to the service industry.
Quotes[]
- “Yes, but I understand there are a few who are as talented as you, Kirumi...”
- — Celestia Ludenberg to Kirumi Tojo in Ultimate Talent Development Plan
- “My... They must be truly excellent butlers to be recommended by you.”
- — Celestia Ludenberg to Kirumi Tojo in Ultimate Talent Development Plan
- “Not particularly. In your absence, Kirumi makes my tea for me. And to be honest, I enjoy her tea more than yours.”
- — Celestia Ludenberg to Hifumi Yamada in Ultimate Talent Development Plan
Fanon[]
The ship is very rare, but nonetheless, as with every ship, there are still supporters. Celestojo has been shipped since after the release of Danganronpa V3, and gained more supporters after the release of Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp.
In Ultimate Talent Development Plan, Kirumi takes on the role of serving Celestia, which goes along well with the way the fandom portrays the two. Kirumi is typically depicted as Celestia's maid serving her in her elegant European castle, or serving her in some form of way. Shippers will portray them as extremely polite but affectionate to one another. Some shippers like to think that Kirumi would help Celestia be more in touch with her emotions and learn to treat others nicer, and Celestia would encourage Kirumi to take breaks and not overwork herself too much.
As it is not a common ship it is considered a rarepair. The ship is rivaled by the more popular ships such as Celesgiri, Yamaceles, Kirukaede and Tojoshi. The two are sometimes shipped in a poly ship with Sonia Nevermind.
