As is the case with several other cross-ships in the franchise, Mahiru and Tenko have never canonically met, as they are from two different entries in the series. Although, they do interact a few times with each other in Ultimate Talent Development Plan.
During one event, Mahiru can be seen sighing to herself in the hallway, when Tenko comes and asks her if she is alright. Mahiru then explains that she had to scold some boys for causing a ruckus in the hall. The two then have a discussion about their problems with men. But when Tenko brings up how she thinks all males should die, Mahiru is shocked and says that she might be going a little too far.
In another event, Tenko goes to see Mahiru to receive her class photo. After adoring how Himiko Yumeno looks, she mentions how she has mixed feelings on the males in her photo, but says she wishes to keep them in her memory too. Tenko then compliments Mahiru on her photography skills, saying that she managed to make even the "vile degenerate males" look somewhat endearing. Mahiru then supplies Tenko with enough copies for her whole class.
The ship sailed likely due to both characters having a strong disdain in males. With this commonality, some fans believe the two would be good friends with each other. Additionally, both girls are also known for their close relationship with another female student, whom they are often shipped with by the fanbase.
Naturally, the cross-ship isn't overly popular in the fandom. Although fans still like to imagine the potential dynamic between the characters if they were to meet.
- Both Mahiru and Tenko are 165 cm in height.
- Mahiyenko refers to the ship between the two and Hiyoko Saionji.
