- — Charles after Carlos's win in the Singapore GP
Charlos is the slash ship between drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. from the Formula 1 fandom.
Canon[]
The two are current drivers for teams Scuderia Ferrari (Leclerc) and Atlassian Williams (Sainz) , as of the 2023 season Charles placed 5th meanwhile Carlos placed 7th for the Drivers’ Championship. Together combining their points of 406 they helped Ferrari place 3rd for the Constructors’ Championship. Charles has been in Ferrari since 2019, while, Carlos has been in Ferrari since 2021 after replacing Sebastian Vettel. As of the current moment, Charles’s contract with Ferrari is til 2029, meanwhile, Carlos’s contract has expired at the end of the 2024 season at which point he changed commands to Williams.
During a few races the two's relationship have been speculated to not be as balanced as seen in team radios. Charles has criticised Carlos on a few occasions making sarcastic comments, one of them being during qualifiers for the Australian Grand Prix. This was also seen in the 2023 Silverstone GP as Charles wasn't happy with Carlos passing him during qualifiers. However Carlos defended himself saying he initially planned to be ahead in qualifiers a week before the race.
Despite some tensions on track, the two are seen as a chaotic duo as shown in YouTube videos posted by Ferrari. The two would be seen complimenting one another’s looks or themselves which are clips that are always featured in Charlos montage videos created by fans. Popular challenges would include guessing songs by using a form of charades, as well as finishing the lyrics. One of the popular videos is where Charles and Carlos try guessing countries based on emojis.
As of February 1st, 2024, Carlos's last season with Ferrari will be the 2024 season. This is due to Lewis Hamilton replacing Carlos for the 2025 season with a multi-year contract.

- “We were professional and impeccable. A lot of ink has been spilled, but if we go to other garages: George (Russell) and Lewis (Hamilton), Max (Verstappen) and Sergio (Perez), Carlos (Sainz) and Charles (Leclerc)… We should not don't believe that they are all friends.”
- — Gasly about teams not being really friends (translated)
The Sainz family (specifically Carlos’s mother), have been seen liking tweets that were critical of Charles. Carlos’s mother liked a tweet that questioned Charles’s honor as it praised Carlos for winning the Singapore GP. Charles returned with liking a fan tweet praising his honor with a picture of Charles on the podium.
