Cheeto Mom is the friendship between Steven Universe and Jasper from the Steven Universe fandom.

Canon

Season 1

Steven had his first confrontation with Jasper in "The Return", when Jasper was sent to Earth as Peridot's confidant. She initially was only interested in beating Steven's mother Rose Quartz into the ground, but quickly lost interest when she was apparently absent. Jasper briefly glances at Steven in disgust, asking what "that" is, but when the captive Lapis tells her that he's just a human and not a threat, Jasper loses all interest in this mission and orders Peridot to just blast the remaining Crystal Gems with their ship. However, when Steven deflects the blast with his shield to protect his friends, Jasper recognizes the symbol on it as Rose Quartz's, believing that Steven is just Rose who had taken human form. When Jasper prepares an attack on Steven, Lapis pleads her not to hurt him, but that only makes Jasper angry at her as well for knowing about Steven and not telling them. So she takes full control of what was just a regular check-up for Peridot to take Steven captive with intent of delivering "this thing" to Yellow Diamond personally. When Garnet steps in to save Steven, Jasper pulls out a high-tech weapon called a "Gem Destabilizer" and uses it against Garnet, causing her form to fall apart right in front of Steven. Jasper tells "Rose" how disappointed she is in her once respected rival for stooping so low by taking this form and lifts Steven by the shirt with intent of hurting him with her helmet. However, when the other Crystal Gems charge her, Jasper admits that she can't tell what Rose is planning, but declares her base taken and confirms her victory by headbutting Steven unconscious.

When Steven wakes up, he finds himself on the handship, locked in a cell with a destabilizing shield. What Jasper did not anticipate is that Steven's organic body can easily slip through the shield, the effect merely leaving a mild tickling sensation on him. Steven finds Ruby imprisoned next to him and frees her by forming a hole in the shield with his body, allying himself with her since she was separated from her Sapphire just like how Steven was separated from his friends. When Steven looks for Sapphire for her, he almost runs into Jasper and Peridot arguing over Peridot still wanting to check on the Cluster, but Jasper tells her that delivering Rose Quartz to Homeworld takes priority. While punching the side of Sapphire's cell, Jasper demands Peridot to get back on the bridge while Jasper is looking for escaped captives. Steven frees Sapphire once the other two leave, she thanks Steven by calling him by name and pulls him into a large area where she reunites with Ruby. When Ruby and Sapphire hug and kiss, they start fusing into Garnet, causing Steven to realize that Garnet was a fusion the whole time. When Garnet tells Steven to free Pearl and Amethyst, hearing Jasper coming, Garnet reassures him that she can take Jasper on since she's "never alone". While Garnet is distracting Jasper, Steven frees the other Crystal Gems and easily overpowers Peridot. But before they could return to the Earth, Garnet had destroyed the ship's engine by launching Jasper into it, causing them to crash back to Earth anyway. The Crystal Gems all survive impact thanks to Steven protecting them with a bubble shield, but they soon discover that Jasper withstood the impact as well and is not willing to give up just yet. When Lapis frees herself from the rubble and tries to escape, Jasper pulls her back down, with Steven calling out to her, but the other Crystal Gems having to hold him back. Jasper manages to convince Lapis to fuse with her, turning the two of them into a colossal, six-armed abomination that seems to threaten the Crystal Gems, only for shackles made out of Lapis' water powers to pull itself into the ocean. Lapis still cares about Steven and deliberately sabotaged Jasper's attempt to hurt him, imprisoning Lapis at the bottom of the ocean alongside herself.

Season 2

Since Lapis and Jasper are fused at the bottom of the ocean for the entirety of the season, the Crystal Gems didn't have to worry about Jasper during that time. However, "Chille Tid" centers around Garnet looking for her while Steven tries to get Pearl and Amethyst to take a rest. However, Steven is plagued by continuous nightmares about Lapis, only for it to turn out that he was actually entering the mental scape of their fusion, Malachite. Lapis is literally fighting Jasper for control inside the fusion, them being on opposite sides of the water and Lapis needing to hold herself above it to keep Jasper from breaking free. The one time Lapis lost control, Jasper was struggling her way towards Steven, but pulled back underwater by Lapis before she could do anything to hurt Steven. Steven doesn't get to talk to Lapis for long before he's forced out of the dream by Malachite yelling at him to go.

Season 3

At the beginning of the season in "Super Watermelon Island", Steven had another vision of Malachite, this time being inside a watermelon double of himself that was just being sacrificed to her. The Crystal Gems tell Steven to stay behind to deal with the simultaneous earthquake caused by the Cluster beginning to emerge, but they wouldn't have been able to beat Malachite if it weren't for Steven possessing another watermelon and leading an army of watermelon people to distract her. When the Crystal Gems come back with a rescued Lapis, none of them seem too worried about Jasper's whereabouts.

In "Alone at Sea", Steven had taken Lapis on a cruise with his dad to cheer her up, but Lapis dreads telling Steven that she's starting to miss being fused with Jasper. Steven is shocked to hear that, but Jasper had been feeling the same and had been tracking Lapis down by following the boat they were on from underwater. When Steven tells Jasper to get back while he pulls out his shield, Jasper could only ask if the "dulled-down version of Rose Quartz" works for Lapis now and laughing at Steven supposedly pointing the shield the wrong way. When Lapis adamantly refuses Jasper's offer to fuse back into Malachite, Steven yells at Jasper to accept Lapis' answer and leave her alone. Jasper however only targets her anger towards Steven, blaming him for Lapis refusing and threatens to shatter him for it. Lapis reacts almost immediately and manages to save Steven by punching Jasper into the horizon.

In "Gem Hunt", Steven had taken his human friend Connie on her first Gem mission to track down some corrupted Gems, only for it to turn out that they've been running away from Jasper. As one of the corrupted Gems had the children cornered, Jasper rushes in out of nowhere to beat them into dissipating, not to save Steven, but to take the gemstones with her. She even shows "Rose" the gemstones in her hands like trophies, but Steven merely snaps a picture of them in her bubble shield. Jasper sees no use to fight two children and a Pearl at that moment and just leaves with the gemstones still in her hands.

In "Earthling", Jasper faces the fusion between Steven and Amethyst, Smoky Quartz, trying to defeat them by fusing with a corrupted gem. After being defeated by Smoky Quartz, she begins to become corrupted by the fusion and, Before becoming corrupted, she addresses Steven (calling him Rose) revealing that before becoming a subordinate of Yellow Diamond she was a subordinate of Pink Diamond, then becoming corrupted and coming puffed by Peridot

Season 4/5

Jasper does not appear throughout season 4 of the series. She reappears in "Change Your Mind", where she is healed along with all the other corrupted Gems. As soon as she gets out of the water, she tries to lunge at Steven, before seeing the diamonds and being blocked by Yellow with a look. After being greeted by Amethyst, she dives into the water embarrassed.

Steven Universe Future

In Steven Universe Future, Steven goes to visit Jasper in the forest where she settled after Change Your Mind to propose that she come to Little Homeschool and learn how to live on Earth. Jasper denies her offer and the two face each other. During the battle, Steven changes color, increases his strength and manages to defeat her. Afterwards, Steven asks Jasper to teach him how to control that power, and she tells him that that fight was his first and last lesson. In "Fragments", Steven goes to Jasper to stay away from the Crystal Gems. Jasper eventually agrees to train him and they eventually battled again. In the end, Steven shattered Jasper. A reformed, Jasper bows before Steven, calling him her diamond and becoming devoted to him. This devotion continued throughout all the subsequent episodes until "The Future", where Jasper told Steven that she wanted to come with him on his journey, which Steven refused. After this, Jasper punched the ground and, with a regretful tone, said goodbye to her Diamond.

Fanon

Initially, many fans expected Jasper to join the Crystal Gems due to encouragement from Steven, pointing out that Peridot and Lapis had already been redeemed by him, so a redemption for Jasper seemed like the next logical step. This wound up not happening, even some fans who wanted Steven to gain Jasper's repsect were uncomfortable with the way her arc ended.
