Canon[]
Cookie Run Ovenbreak[]
Cherry Ball and Choco Ball seem to be friendly rivals, even though they play different sports. They are both participants in Cookie Sport's Day. Cherry Ball seems to have an admiration for him, her reasoning being his ease to win, wondering if her team will be like that too. Choco Ball sees her as a natural, saying he knows because he claims he is a natural himself.
Cookie Sport's Day[]
Part 1[]
For That One Moment[]
From the start of the story, they, and their own teams are introduced. After Cherry Ball Cookie's team loses, her team goes back into their own rooms. Cherry Ball turns on the TV, and then sees Choco Ball gaining a victory, saying wow, but also adding she didn't see it go in. She then wows at Choco Ball's skills again, saying its a world record, comparing her own team to even play a match. Cherry Ball then says his team never seems to stop, wondering if that is the actual reason why they are winning.
She also says if her team, including herself, would have been able to win if they were like Choco FC. After asking Lime and Orange for advice, she again mentions Choco Ball Cookie had won again, saying it must feel so great, asking herself if everyone is like that too. When she was watching White Choco Cookie's fencing match, she mentions it's got just many Cookies as Choco Ball's one.
Deepening Worries[]
Cherry Ball, disappointed, says she thought her team would win this time. She spent time with her team, and felt like focusing on the right things, questioning herself on what could be the problem. A few moments later, Choco Ball is featured on television once again, with the sports commentator saying in the final moment, Choco Ball and his team has scored another goal. The commentator also says Choco FC has won all but the golden medal. Also saying at this rate, the MVP player is already decided.
Cherry Ball says he is a good solo player and team player, and that Choco Ball must be the perfect athlete. She adds that surely she may be able to learn something from him. When she goes to his game, she comments on how much fans there to the point she can't even see him. She then sees chocolate hair, and tries to ask him from afar. Choco Ball thanks his fans for all the support, and that he has to leave due to a packed schedule. He then says he'll see them at the awarding ceremony.
Cherry Ball is surprised because he had left already, saying she should've trained instead of coming. She then assures herself by saying to not give up, as the rest Choco Ball's team is just as amazing as Choco Ball Cookie, saying she could ask them instead.
Part 2[]
Deepening Worries (2)[]
After asking other competitors for advice again, she said if only is she could meet Choco Ball, saying she could learn how to win too, but he is hard to contact. She adds that she had left a note for him that she was willing to hear his advice, but hasn't got an answer yet. She says at this rate, she won't be able to meet him until the competition has ended. Also adding she should go ask him at practice. When Cherry Ball arrives, she says to herself he doesn't seem to be in a good mood, also saying if its really okay to talk to him.
She calls him and asks if he has a moment. Choco Ball asks who she is, asking if she is a fan. She introduces herself as Cherry Ball Cookie, who left him the note earlier. He replies that if she have the skill, of course she will be able to win, adding worries like that are something naturals can't relate to, so he has nothing to say. She replies sadly saying he didn't have to put it like that, with him replying he has countless Cookies who respect him, saying if thats all she needs to say, he's off.
Right after he leaves, she scoffs while saying she didn't expect him to be like that, thinking she can do without advice from someone who has such a personality. However, she says to herself even though he answered her like that, his match wanted to make her ask anyway. She adds he was the one who led his team to victory, after all. While watching him, she saw him asking to pass the ball, making her confused, saying he would've scored a goal by now. Right after that happened, the sports commentator said the ball went past Choco Ball Cookie to another teammate.
The sports commentator says it surely has to be a mistake, also commenting on how sour Choco Ball's expression is now, questioning if something happened between the team members. They also added it put an end to Choco Ball's flawless winning streak. Cherry Ball then says they won in the end, but also saying that was closer than usual. She also adds something felt off during Choco Ball's practice, making her wonder what happened.
She also says he didn't even take time to greet the fans, adding he does not look happy so she should be heading back aswell. A few moments later, Choco Ball says she is back, saying he is a natural born soccer player ever since he came out of the oven, also adding he does not have advice for her. She says to him he has caught her, saying she just came to watch his match. She also says they don't play the same sport, but she still has a lot to learn. This results in him to question "Like what?".
She then says she still needs the confidence to lead her team to victory, or inspiring courage in her teammates. He asks if she is messing around with him on purpose, questioning if it looks like if he's really getting along with his teammates, adding she saw the game, so she saw Choco Ball fought with them. She answers by saying she didn't know that, adding she's been arguing with her teammates too, saying but that is the reason why she wants to ask him. She also adds his team has been doing so well.
He replies with "What..?" and she says sorry for coming to talk to him when he was in a bad mood, but says its better to talk to someone whenever your feeling down. He says people around them might be listening, and tells her to follow him. She comments on how the corridor was filled with a crowd of Cookies, but the place is so quiet. He says to her that this is a place only he knows about, and that he comes there when he wants to avoid others or just get time for himself. She says she knows that feeling too, saying she usually flees to the break room, but she always took him as being in the center of his team. After that, they had a conversation with one another in that room.
A Run Without End[]
Choco Ball says to her that used to be true, but before she came the previous time, he just argued with the team as they weren't performing how he wanted to. He also told her he said his teammates had to work harder to keep up, but his teammates told him to play alone then, even though they weren't on the same level. She says she knows what he means, saying she gets annoyed by her own team when it feels like she is the only one putting effort into too. He says he knew she'd understand as a fellow team captain.
He also says to her his only focus was his team's performance during the games, but now he isn't exactly as close to his team as they used to, so it's been starting to affect their matches aswell. He says he doesn't care much for getting along with them, but in the current situation they're in, his team might even lose because of it. She says to him she used to think the reason for losing is because of her team, but after hearing other Cookies, she realized that was not the case. She adds they are two teams of Cookies who met to play sports, but their teammates are also the Cookies they end up spending time with the most. He replies that it is actually true.
She then says victory cannot be achieved alone, but she just kept thinking about herself, and that it made things even worse. She adds she just needed to accept her and her team's differences, and it wasn't that the rest of the team played worse, or wasn't as good as her, but because her teammates played volleyball differently. He said he did tell his teammates his team needed Cookies who played good as him, even though he knows how hard they worked. Cherry Ball tells him she's sure all of his teammates know he's the best, but they are just simply playing team sports. He then replies with just a short "Yeah". She then says thinking about it, her teammates told her their made of different ingredients, so its natural they are different, although she comments she did not realize it.
She says that she is going to tell her team everything, adding she thought she could lead a team by doing everything herself, but says that it is not how a team works. Choco Ball says he feels the same, saying he just wanted to show his best side, but didn't work out, so his teammates and him started arguing. She then says to him they've always done their best, adding she doesn't even lose to Cookies twice her size. He responds by saying of course, and says he doesn't even rest when the hot sun melts the tops of his choco hair. She says his team knows that, and says how could they not, with how much time they spend training together, telling him to trust the bonds he has made with them.
She then says in the past, she thought winning was everything. But says even though winning is nice, she's always been the happiest on the court. He says his thanks to her, saying its really helpful. But also says she was looking to ask him for advice, but he ended up being the one on the receiving end. She says he helped her too, adding that talking with him helped her organize her thoughts. She then says they should keep enjoying what they love. After that, Choco Ball went into the break room and said to his teammate he wanted to watch a match, but his teammate says their game doesn't replay until later. It turns out to be Cherry Ball's game he was wanting to watch.
