Chlimmy is the het ship between Chloe Carmichael and Timmy Turner from The Fairly OddParents! fandom.
Canon[]
Timmy and Chloe meet each other in Season 10 EP 1: The Big Fairy Share Scare. Initially, Timmy is offput and very dismissive towards Chloe due to her high demeanor of positivity, seemingly perfect feats, and acknowledgment he must share his fairies with her due to a fairy shortage.
However, only after learning about her origins in her old town explains why Chloe is not always perfect from her sense of naivety, she severely underestimates the severity of a scenario, thus leaving people negatively affected by her antics, Timmy decides to let go of his grudge against Chloe and reluctantly becomes her friend.
It should be acknowledged that Timmy became Chloe's first friend after he let go of his grudge while saying people would like to be her friend despite her accident-prone tendencies. Due to this, Chloe gets an opportunity and asks if he would like to become her friend with excitement. Timmy "nonchalantly" says sure in response to the predicament he puts himself into. However, despite the predicament, Timmy keeps true to his words and becomes Chloe's true friend.
Although Timmy and Chloe are friends now, due to their different lifestyles and interests, they can be antagonistic towards each other. For example, Season 10 EP 5: "Birthday Battle" and Season 10 EP 9 "Fish Out of Water" represent this. Fortunately, they managed to move on from this to the end of the series when they were rarely against each other.
Usually, Chloe shows physical affection towards Timmy after he does something smart or incredibly kind. Chloe usually tends to hug Timmy too much of his embarrassment. However, it appears Timmy has embraced physical affection with Chloe, and now it's him initiating contact via causally hugging or holding hands with Chloe in public. Episodes like Season 10 Ep 32: Tardy Sauce and Season 10 Ep 37: Fancy Schmancy show these behaviors.
Also, across Season 10, Timmy is shown to be quite protective of Chloe when she is mistreated or in danger. For example, in Season 10 EP 12: "Booby Trapped", Timmy stands up for Chloe to her parents for their judgmental behavior towards their daughter by telling Chloe behavior is a result of their influence. The Season 10 EP 26: "Summer Bummer", shows Timmy numerous times catching Chloe before she falls from sleep-wishing. Timmy does consider and have mentioned Chloe as pretty when he switches bodies with her in Season 10 EP 17: "Which is Wish". Timmy usually calls girls pretty if he has a crush on them, like Trixie, Missy, and Cindy Vortex from the Jimmy Neutron series. Also, in this episode Timmy and Chloe have expressed they will miss each other if one moves away.
Also, Chloe can be as protective as Timmy, especially in Season 10 EP 13: "Blue Angel" when she physically fights Angel (Foop in disguise) after the constant mistreatment of Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda. Chloe is shown trying to help Timmy become more thoughtful about things that are good for him much to his dismay, especially anything educational or nutritious. However, Chloe wants only this under Timmy's choice, no one else. In Season 10 Ep 6: "Fair Bears", where Timmy (and Wanda) are forcibly brainwashed to engage in fun activities, Chloe demands Timmy (and Wanda) back to normal. Chloe also helps Timmy by teaching and showing him the great elements in the little details that matter in life for inspiration and growth in maturity, whether for him or others. She does this by asking and making Timmy reconsider an option he usually dismisses from partly his blunt, lazy, and arrogant personality.
However, it's also because of Timmy's personality of being blunt and realistic he can help Chloe by making her think if something is worth it if she's not enjoying it or the possibility of her being harmed in the process shown in Season 10 Ep 30: "Chloe Rules!"
Timmy and Chloe's relationship and the overall thematic theme in the series finale in Season 10 EP 37: "Fancy Schmancy" parallel the roles and story of Romeo and Juliet by both families being against each other and separating their children, while Timmy and Chloe want to spend time with each other for their friendiversary. Timmy even reenacted the famous climbing scene from the book iteration of the tale of Romeo and Juliet before being interrupted by Chloe's parents. Also, throughout this episode, Timmy constantly refers to Chloe as his best friend.
Fanon[]
Chlimmy manages a decent audience of fans who support the pair. Chlimmy is usually viewed more favorably by the fans of the show in comparison to its rival ships, TimToot and TimTrix, primarily from the pairing consistently.
Chlimmy is sometimes seen as a parallel ship to CosWan. Chlimmy is also a parallel ship to Jindy from The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius due to their foil-like behavior toward each other. Chlimmy also has drawn comparisons towards the pairing of Starco from Star vs. the forces of evil primarily from the initial introduction of our protagonists, in which the boy is annoyed with the uplifting girl's antics and somehow manages to end up stuck with them. However, eventually, the boy came around to enjoy and understand the girl's presence and became friends with her.
An interesting note is that the ship's name for Chlimmy arrives from a throwaway line Timmy says in Season 10 EP 17: Which is Wish when asked about his name while he swaps bodies with Chloe. Since then, the name Chlimmy has been adopted by the Fairly Oddparents fandom when referring to the ship.
Sometimes, the pairing of Chlimmy appears as a third contender for discussions of who should be with Timmy for the future from the Channel Chasers ending. Primarily, the reasoning behind this as a contender stems from fans either not being fond of the direction of Tootie and Trixie's relationship with Timmy or enjoying the close foil friendship dynamic of Timmy and Chloe's development from Season 10, thinking their polar personalities could improve their character flaws, like Timmy's blunt and realistic viewpoint countering Chloe's naivety or Chloe leaderships skills countering Timmy's arrogance and making more him inspired into aspects he likely wouldn't engage with. As a result of this, some people see it as a possible way for how Timmy to become more aligned with his good future counterpart from his formal and mature personality.
Most people preferred Chlimmy as a platonic relationship. There are over 25 works on AO3 that prefer their canon friendship dynamic. However, on Fanfiction.net there are 25 works showing romantic depictions. The biggest rivals on the fan fiction side for Chlimmy are JimmyTimmy and TimTrix.
Controversy[]
Chlimmy is a very moderately mixed received ship in the fandom at best.
Most of the time, the dismissal behavior is due to the highly popularized interpretation that their dynamic is like a sibling relationship and should stay as such.
Another contributing factor to the mixed feedback is the massive disdain of Chloe in the public consensus, or people's persistence on the Tootie or Trixie implied idea for the Channel Chasers ending.
