Chrederflyer is the poly ship between Chuck, Red and Neiderflyer from the Angry Birds fandom.
Canon[]
Red and Chuck are two of the main characters in the Angry Birds franchise. They form the main trio with Bomb.
Neiderflyer is the main antagonist who debuts in the 2022 Netflix series Angry Birds: Summer Madness. Due to his recent addition to the franchise as well as being a series-exclusive character, most of the Chrederflyer ship pertains to that cartoon's canon.
Red and Chuck are best friends at Camp Splinterwood, alongside Bomb and Stella. Neiderflyer is their camp bully who tends to pick on them specifically, especially Red.
Red and Chuck debatably have the most interactions, as they're part of the group of main characters. However, Red interacts more with Stella, and Chuck with Bomb, leaving Red and Chuck to be one of the more underutilized pairings there.
Red and Neiderflyer have plenty of interactions throughout the show as the series' protagonist and antagonist respectively. Neiderflyer seems to have a fascination with Red, meanwhile Red despises him but seems to be open to the idea of befriending Neiderflyer if he were to redeem himself.
Chuck and Neiderflyer interactions are more limited, but there are a handful throughout the episodes. They are most commonly played for laughs as they are so different; with Neiderflyer being posh and rude while Chuck is reckless and optimistic.
Fanon[]
Chrederflyer is a rare ship in the Angry Birds fandom. Some factors for this are due to Neiderflyer being an obscure character from a canon not many fans care for, a lack of polyamorous ships in the fanbase in general, and the large majority of fans simply shipping Chuck and Red together.
The pairing began when a very small amount of fans began to ship Rederflyer, while already being Chred fans. The idea of a love triangle then came to mind. And of course, one of the solutions for a love triangle is for all of them to date, making way for Chrederflyer to come to fruition, despite how unlikely the outcome may be for these characters in particular. The ship could be seen as OOC for most/all parties involved, but it is typically portrayed either when they're all immature teenagers in a relationship/multiple crushes that won't last, or as adults already in a mostly healthy, if inexplicable throuple.
Angry Birds: Summer Madness has at least two instances of the three characters being in situations which could jokingly be interpreted as a love triangle. The episode "Much Ado About Pudding" shows Red being manipulated into working with Neiderflyer, as his friends try to convince him not to. In one scene, Chuck gets in Red's face about this being a bad idea, and when Neiderflyer begins talking again, Chuck glares at him and defensively holds onto Red to protect him. The episode "A-Haw-Haw" shows a similar conflict, except it's Chuck being manipulated this time. Near the end of the episode, Neiderflyer and Red are arguing over Chuck, escalating to a point where they were about to start a physical fight.
There are 2 works for this ship on AO3.
