- “This is a love kindled quickly, but it burns bright in me. It is a love that will last. I believe it with all that I am.”
- — Chrom to Olivia, in Awakening
Chrolia is the het ship between Chrom and Olivia from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Chrom and Olivia are members of the shepherds. Chrom is the prince and eventual King of Ylisse, so the captain of the group. Olivia is introduced in chapter 10 as a fugitive dancer, running away from an obsessed nobleman who wanted to kidnap her, but she is actually available as a playable unit in chapter 11.
Olivia then escorts Chrom out of enemy territory, led to one another by their mutual friend, who they then claim they owe a lot to (because their meeting was special)
Shortly after, Chrom rallies his soldiers and they all give words of encouragement. Olivia is the final person to speak and rally toward Chrom, being the last voice before he finishes the war the mad king begun.
Their relationship is portrayed as a whirlwind romance in which they have a strong attraction for each other, but Olivia is too shy and insecure to talk with him.
However, after she warms up to him, Chrom himself becomes shy, realizing her personality makes him blush far more than her appearance. After they both grow past this, they bond over mutual friends who brought them together, and realize they can speak endlessly. Chrom is aware that marrying her so soon is crazy, but says he would rather be called crazy than lose her. Upon hearing this, Olivia confessed that she's loved Chrom all along.
Their relationship focuses on the dynamic of Olivia being shy and insecure as well as a “lion” in dance; while Chrom is a powerful and influential leader who is secretly socially awkward and quick to embarrass, giving them similar dynamics with their friends.
They can easily marry by being paired up in chapter 11, or making Olivia dance for Chrom at least five times. Being pressured to find a wife between the timeskip, after the war ends, Chrom choses Olivia as his queen.
They eventually have a daughter Lucina, and a son, crown Prince Inigo. Lucina time travels after an apocalyptic future in which Chrom, Olivia and all the shepherds are killed, resulting on the kingdom of Ylisse being also destroyed. Olivia finds Chrom hugging Lucina and cries thinking the young girl is the king's lover, but after some sceptical moments, she quickly realizes that the one her husband is holding is their daughter from the future after she recognizes the eye mark which only her newborn have. They possibly also encounters their other son, Inigo, who time traveled together with his sister and other companions, and together they decide to fight to change the future and save their kingdom.
Their marriage makes Olivia the Queen of Ylisse, and she tours the lands of Ylisse dancing and mending broken spirits while Chrom locates his missing ally during the finale. At the end, the two rule side by side stronger than ever.
Children[]
Lucina
Crown princess of Ylisse, Lucina traveled back through time to change the terrible future she came from, where the world was fully in the grasp of Grima, the fell dragon.
Inigo
Prince of Ylisse, he came to the Halidom of Ylisse from the future with his sister and other allies. Inigo dreams of being a great dancer like his mother one day. When he was younger, he inherited his mother shyness, however, after having talked to girls so often in order to build confidence, he developed a great interest in them, becoming quite a flirter.
Fanon[]
Chrom and Olivia's romance is often portrayed as a love at first sight, because despite being a timeskip between the moment they meet and decide to marry, their conversation can't be viewed in the normal screen of the game, added to the fact that Olivia has mechanical priority over the other potential wives, due to the special situation of her being the last of Chrom's potential love interest to be introduced in the story. Olivia and Chrom have a special scene where Chrom proposes and she recognizes the ring as an artifact of House Ylisse. This scene is exclusive to Olivia, and has helped her popularity as a ship for Chrom.
In Awakening, Tiki hints that Chrom is a similar person to his ancestral Sigurd, who married Deirdre, despite not knowing one another long after a chance encounter. Therefore, due to Chrom and Sigurd's similar personality and take on the world, and Sigurd and Deirdre's canonical relationship, some point out that Chrolivia may be a reference to this ship.
There is some occasional friction with Chrobin and Chromia shippers, largely due to the game system of multiple canon endings and arguments over which is 'most canon' or 'most deserving' of being canon. It's the most popular ship for Olivia, and the second most popular ship for Chrom, behind only Chrobin.

Trivia[]
- Chrom and Olivia placed among the most popular ships in the official poll in the artbook of the game, Knights of Ylisse. The only other Chrom pairing ranked there was Chrobin.
- Inigo, Olivia's son, is the only character aside from Chrom and Lucina to use the silver and blue color scheme often associated with lords.
- He's also the only of Chrom's potential secondary children that is stated to have the Mark of the Exalt - the mark of Ylisse' royalty - specifically in his right eye.
- Inigo's birthday is August 7, the Japanese release date of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (the DS remake of the original game), making Inigo, Lucina, and Owain the only three children characters who reference Marth
- In the English version, Inigo in his introduction, states that he is crown prince of Ylisse. It's not known if its a mistranlation, or if in this route, he is actually older than Lucina.
