Chrysirek is the het ship between Queen Chrysalis and Lord Tirek from the My Little Pony fandom.
Canon[]
The Beginning of the End[]
Though Chrysalis and Tirek were aware of each other's existence, they wouldn't interact until the beginning of Season 9, where both (alongside fellow villains King Sombra and Cozy Glow) were broken out and recruited by "Grogar" (actually Discord in disguise) to join his legion of villains to attack Twilight Sparkle and rule Equestria once and for all (though the true purpose was to be an engineered threat to be defeated and stopped to boost Twilight's confidence), though at first their egos prevented them from being much of allies. Together they witnessed the defeat and death of King Sombra in his attempted lone takeover of Equestria, learning well enough that a solo act would only lead to failure.
Frenemies[]
Wishing to unify her allies better, Cozy rallies her fellow villains to begin learning how to work together, starting with the musical number, "A Better Way to be Bad", where they sing an ode to how much they like to be villains and their goals, where Tirek and Chrysalis slightly learn to tolerate each other better through some failed trust exercises, though still devolve into infighting and bickering in the end.
Due to "Grogar" growing frustrated with the three villains' lack of progress in working together, he sends them to retrieve his magical bell from its resting place, while he leaves to check out other matters.
After the trio go to Everhoof Mountain, they find out the climb is harder than they thought, with Tirek sitting back and waiting for the other two to fail at the task so he can analyze the terrain and figure out a smarter way to climb After Cozy get to his camp following their failures, they once more bicker among themselves but are ambushed by an Ophiotaurus, however they are saved by Chrysalis who disguises as a female Ophiotaurus and tricks the predator so she can extract its love and cocoon him. Though she denies having done it to save them beyond needing their aid to get the Bell. Afterwards the trio sit down and share their stories of their fights against the Mane Six, with Tirek laughing at Chrysalis' impression of Twilight and recognizing that they all hate Twilight and her friends more than they do each other, fully agreeing to team up to achieve victory at last.
After cooperating with each other, the trio reach the mountaintop and are faced with the magical shield protecting Grogar's Bell; when they realize neither of three can break it on their own, Cozy gets the idea to have Tirek absorb the magic in it but he cannot as he can only drain living beings; then Cozy suggests Chrysalis give her magic to Tirek so he can be strong enough to make a hole in the shield, Chrysalis refuses seeing it as betrayal but Cozy convinces her it's a temporary measure to achieve their goals and that Tirek will return her magic to her in the end, reluctantly she does share it with him and after Cozy gets the Bell, Tirek decides to return Chrysalis' magic to her despite not expecting himself to be noble enough to do so. This causes Chrysalis to be shocked and genuinely relieved that Tirek would return her power back and Tirek himself realizes it felt good to work with others and help them rather than fight and destroy for once, a realization Cozy and Chrysalis themselves almost have too until the latter snaps out of her near-redemption and convinces the other two to remain evil and reject the friendship they felt.
Upon returning while pretending to have failed, "Grogar" berates them for their failure but is at least satisfied with them learning to cooperate. Once he's out of sigh, the trio complete their transition from reluctant forced-upon allies into a true team and begin working to use the Bell they obtained to betray Grogar and destroy Twilight and her friends before resuming being enemies.
The Summer Sun Setback[]
After realizing that they need to learn how to use Grogar's Bell, Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy go to Canterlot to infiltrate its library and learn how to unlock the power of Grogar's Bell from a book in it. They take the chance to investigate when Grogar goes on a search for an artifact to replace the bell they supposedly failed to find and retrieve.
After some trials and teamwork of the three, which partly involves causing disharmony among pony tribes, they obtain a book with information on Grogar's Bell and escape with it back to their lair, where they prepare to execute their final plan and even go as far as preparing to turn ponies one against the other.
The Ending of the End[]
With their scheme close to completion after Tirek learned how to fully utilize the Bell and Chrysalis spent months making pony tribes divided, the trio of villains prepare to obtain the magic contained within the Bell to increase their power. Once they activate it, Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy take the power stored inside of the Bell and amplify their own strength with it. When "Grogar" returns with the artifact he intended to use, the three ambush him and then depower him with the Bell's magical draining ability, revealing that he was Discord all along, the powerless draconequus realizes too late that he underestimated both the villains and the Bell's power and after realizing he's screwed up flees from the place to warn Twilight of the incoming threat after the villains decide he's no threat to them, afterwards Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy sort things out on their plans and post-victory agreements while Discord takes sometime to overhear their plans before fully reaching Twilight to warn her.
After Tirek takes on the Pillars of Equestria and defeats them while Chrysalis captures Starlight Glimmer, Cozy drains both Princess Celestia and Luna of their powers with the Bell but is nearly captured by the Mane Six when she arrives on Canterlot; before she can be fully defeated Tirek and Chrysalis manage to save her from defeat and the three work together to round up Twilight and her allies and taunt the princess of friendship on their assured victory and how they divided Equestria before destroying most of Canterlot's castle. The three then hold up Twilight and prepare to finish her off before Rarity saves her with a piece of rubble thrown at the trio, allowing Twilight to teleport away but leaving the others at the mercy of the villains, who capture them.
After capturing the heroes, Tirek suggests hunting down Twilight lest she becomes a threat to their near-secured victory, but Chrysalis thinks he's being overtly paranoid and rebukes him in favor of sadistically torturing the heroes leading to an argument that ends up broken when Discord provokes Tirek into blasting him with his magic beam, using a piece of Chrysalis' destroyed anti-magic throne to bounce off the beam and free Starlight who goes on to free all her allies to distract the three villains so Twilight's close friends can find her and regroup.
After the Windigoes come back thanks to the disharmony and infighting among tribes, Chrysalis wants to use them to break the ponies' spirits before vanquishing their threat and become "heroes" in the eyes of the ponies, but Tirek suggests destroying them before they grow too powerful to be dealt with instead, leading to yet another argument that gets interrupted when Twilight and her allies make a stand and fight against the trio, reaching a stalemate until Chrysalis takes Spike prisoner and threatens to rip his wings off getting the heroes to surrender and the three to prepare a lethal final blow; until every single ally in Equestria shows up to battle them, though they still manage to win thanks to Tirek dispersing the large combined army and together prepare to resume fighting the heroes but are finally stopped when Twilight and her main allies all channel the power of the Elements of Harmony to depower the trio and de-activate the Bell. With the three defeated, Discord, Celestia and Luna work together to petrify them for good, stopping their threat seemingly forever.
However, the tenuously-canon Season 10 comics show that at least Chrysalis has begun escaping her prison, leaving it ambiguous what truly happened to her, Tirek and Cozy in the end.
Fanon[]
Chrysirek is a niche ship for both characters, mostly as a result of them only coming together as a team (alongside Cozy) in the final season.
Ironically, their growing sort-of-friendship made many fans wish they had been spared their final fates and allowed to turn good and enjoy a life together, as such many fics may come up where they either escape, are freed and reformed or even rewrite the finale to have them team up with the heroes to defeat the real Grogar, and become a couple along the way of those adventures or sometime later after they are done helping stop the greater threat, more often than not adopting Cozy as their daughter as well.
