Granny is actually a very straightforward person. She wears her emotions on her sleeve, you know? It's hard for her to hide what she's feeling. You're the same age as her, right? Or... are you even older? Sorry, I shouldn't ask. That was probably rude... But, if I'm right, maybe you could spend more time together. Granny's been surrounded by people younger than her for a long time, and she's probably had enough. I know she'll be happy to see you.
—Ororon about Lumine and Citlali's relationship, in his "About Citlali" voiceline.

CitLumi is the femslash ship between Citlali and Lumine from the Genshin Impact fandom.

Archon Quest: Chapter V[]

Act III: Beyond the Smoke and Mirrors[]

It all begins when, recognizing Lumine's warrior potential, Xilonen proposes forging an ancient name for her. However, uncertain if this is the right path, Xilonen suggests consulting Citlali, an expert on the Night Kingdom and Wayob. She notes, however, that Citlali is often busy and reclusive, making it challenging to secure an audience with her.

Paimon imagines Citlali to be much older, like Madame Ping, and assumes she must be a grandmotherly figure. Two days later, when Lumine and Paimon return to Xilonen's workshop, Xilonen reveals that Citlali has not responded to her letter. She mentions Citlali might be at the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. Upon arriving and not finding her there either, Paimon grumbles about Citlali's age, only to be startled when Citlali suddenly appears. Xilonen apologizes for not mentioning that Citlali looks much younger than her title suggests. Citlali herself admits she felt awkward about the encounter.

After learning about Mavuika's plan, Citlali examines Lumine's past simply by holding her hand. She agrees with the plan but insists that the Lord of the Night, who is currently in slumber, must make the final decision. Citlali and Lumine strike a deal: Lumine will track Ororon while Citlali gathers materials for the rite to awaken the Lord of the Night.

A witness informs Citlali that Ororon was seen conversing with the Fatui. Enraged, Citlali enlists Lumine's help to locate him. Citlali casts a spell on Lumine, enabling her to see traces of Phlogiston, a substance invisible to ordinary people. However, the spell also creates a mental link, allowing them to hear each other's thoughts. The search leads to a fork in the trail, prompting them to split up. Lumine's path ends with her falling unconscious and entering the Realm of Night. There, she encounters Ororon alongside Capitano. Ororon reveals the Fatui’s plans for Natlan but begs Lumine not to share this with Citlali.

Lumine awakens to find that Citlali has tracked Ororon to a Fatui camp. After defeating the Fatui, Citlali scolds Ororon as though he were her son, revealing that she raised him and is considered his grandmother. Ororon, in turn, begins referring to both Lumine and Citlali as his grandparents, much to Paimon’s shock. Ororon believes Lumine is hundreds of years old, similar to Citlali, and thus considers her his "grandfather."

Later, Capitano’s plans are partially unveiled during a confrontation with Ororon. However, Capitano escapes before Citlali arrives, leaving no evidence behind. Furious, Citlali demands explanations from Ororon, who, unable to endure her scolding, leaves abruptly.

Citlali suggests discussing the matter over a meal and leads Lumine and Paimon to the Weary Inn. While Lumine enjoys a healthy meal, Citlali indulges in alcohol, becoming so drunk that she falls asleep at the table. Chanca, noticing the scene, is surprised by Citlali’s friendship with Lumine. Due to the lingering effects of the spell, Lumine and Paimon overhear Citlali’s unfiltered thoughts throughout her drunken state.

When Citlali sobers up partially, she takes Lumine to a secluded spot in the stadium to share her true feelings. She confesses her worries about Ororon and reveals a failed sacrificial rite meant to take his life, which he survived and escaped.

The next morning, Lumine is awoken by commotion at the inn. Citlali informs her that the Abyss has launched a large-scale attack on Natlan. After hours of battling Abyssal forces, Lumine reunites with Citlali, who reveals a gem containing memories of Ororon’s past. Angered by the revelations, Citlali resolves to take action.

Act IV: The Rainbow Destined to Burn[]

As Abyssal monsters threaten to overwhelm Natlan, Mavuika rallies the nation’s heroes, including Lumine and Citlali, assigning them to defend different regions. Lumine travels across Natlan, aiding those in danger, while Citlali returns to her tribe to prepare for her part in the battle.

When the situation becomes dire, and the Abyss nearly consumes Natlan, Mavuika unleashes her full power, destroying the Abyss portals and cores and delivering a devastating blow to the Abyssal source in the sky. After the war, Natlan celebrates its victory. During the celebration, Citlali privately confides in Lumine, sharing a premonition that Mavuika will one day perish in a final battle against the Abyss.

What lies ahead for Lumine and Citlali's relationship remains uncertain as Lumine continues her journey toward Snezhnaya.

Fanon[]

Before the release of version 5.1, some fans started shipping Lumine with Citlali due to her youthful appearance and the potential she had to serve as an alternative to Mualani in the popular ship "MuaLumi." However, when it was revealed that Citlali was, in fact, a young-looking grandmother, many fans became hesitant about pairing them together, due to the perceived mismatch of a young girl with an elderly figure. Despite this, Citlali remains the second most interacted-with female character for Lumine, just after Mualani.

Later, when Ororon humorously referred to Lumine and Citlali as "grandparents," it sparked renewed interest in the ship. Some fans were encouraged to revisit this pairing, especially given that Lumine, like Citlali, maintains a youthful appearance despite being hundreds or even thousands of years old. This has led some fans to compare this ship to FaruLumi, noting the similarity between Citlali and Faruzan, who share a similar dynamic of a seemingly youthful, ageless figure paired with Lumine.

Because of in-game content, fans have come up with many ideas for works. Citlali is typically depicted as a Tsundere towards Lumine in both fan fictions and art, since she tries to act as if she does not care about love. Fans also like the idea of the two having a prolonged relationship, due to them both having long lifespans, yet youthful appearances. Lumine comforting Citlali about her worry of her loved ones constantly dying in Memories Flowing With Color further supported this. Regarding the two spending time together, fans imagine they could have a "novel date" together in Inazuma, specifically at Yae Publishing House. Citlali is shown to greatly enjoy the industry's novels, and Lumine personally knows Yae Miko, the owner of it. Some fans are attracted by the fact Lumine appears to be the first person Citlali comfortably opens up to, telling the former her true thoughts and confiding in her.
