Clairalm is the het ship between Alm and Clair from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Alm is the main character (alongside Celica) of Fire Emblem Gaiden and it's remake Fire Emblem Shadow of Valentia. Clair is a playable character in the same games.
Clair was a noble from Zofia. Alm grow up as a commoner in a village of Zofia. One day the chancellor of Zofia Desaix killed the king and took the control of the kingdom. Too oppose him Clive (Clair's brother) created an army called the Deliverance. Clair join the Deliverance. Luka a soldier of the Deliverance was sent to recruit Mycen (Alm's grandfather) but Mycen refuse. Alm along his friends decide to join the resistance in his grandfather's name.
Before reaching the Deliverance base, Alm learn that it has fallen in the hand of the enemies and that Clair has been captured. Alm and his allies conquered the castle and free Clair. When Alm enter the dungeon where Clair was imprisoned she say that he had to offer her his hand. Alm is troubled and apologies. After this Clair thanks Alm. She introduce herself and ask where he is from. When she learn that he is a commoner from a village she's curious about his life. Luka not that she should take Alm's feelings in regards to his home and she apologies and explain that she never interact with peasant as equal. She finally joins Alm's army.
Some time after, they meet a friend of Clair, Fernand who is also a member of the Deliverance. Fernand treats Alm as an inferior since he is a commoner. Clair defends Alm and remind to Fernand that Clive said to treat every member of the Deliverance has equal. When Alm is offered by Clive to take the control of the Deliverance but Fernand protest and once again Clair took Alm defense. Finally Fernand leave the Deliverance and join their enemies.
During the adventure they have a support conversations. In their first one Clair say "salutation" to Alm and he not that saying "salutation" on a battlefield. Clair is troubled but Alm answers that he is not criticizing the way she speak and that in fact, he like that about her. In their second support Clair invents new greetings. She admit that she try to make him liking her more. He answers that he like the way she is. In their last support Clair say that like when they laugh together and that she feel wonderful when they are together. Alm answers that he is blushing.
After the war Alm marry Celica and they became the rulers of the united Valentia. Clair became a knight and marry Gray. In Clair's ending text she is upset by the fact that she wanted to end up with Alm instead.
Fanon[]
This ship is less popular than Celicalm and Gray x Clair due to the fact that those both ship are canon. However a small part of the fandom consider that Alm doesn't have much chemistry with Celica and make a better couple with Clair. In general Clairalm is considered to be a better alternative to Celicalm than Falm since Faye obsessives behavior for Alm is often seen as unhealthy, however since Faye's feeling for Alm are more obvious than Clair's, Falm is more popular. Clairalm is also shipped by people who prefer Celica with someone else. The fanfictions of this pairing usually take place in an alternate universe where Alm marries Clair instead of Celica. Almost all fanarts are based on the remake since it's more popular than the original.
