Clapcam is the non-binary ship between Clapboard and Camera from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.

Canon[]

The two are among the 26 recommended characters selected to potentially debut in Two's new season The Power of Two. Notably, the two are the only school-material characters selected out of the rest of the potential debuters. Both have also had brief appearances during the fourth season, a similarity which most of the other selected characters share. Neither of them end up joining the season, however. Both make puns about something related to theatre or show buissness. Camera says "See you in post production!" to a debuter as they fall down, and Camera says that it's curtains for them, which Two also says before stopping realizing he got interrupted, and being clapped at by Clapboard.

During Camera's auditon, Clapboard interrupts it and claps their top happily, which catches Camera off guard and stops his recording and looks at Clapboard.

Later in the season, Scissors and Tape, among most of the rest of the failed debuters, are glued onto the hotel roof by Robot Flower after the original roof is destroyed. Camera get's glued to Clapboard's foot during the scramble however. During the zombie apocalypse, Clapboard gets infected because of their vulnerability of being stuck glued on the roof and they spend most of the episode chasing the remaining competitors. It's assumed Camera also got bitten off-screen as even when Clapboard detaches from them, they don't have a place to run too afterwards.

In the second Cake at Stake of the team swap, the failed debuters are teleported to the remains of Gelatin's Steakhouse. Camera is teleported upon Clapboard's head. The debuters take over hosting it while Two is away cleaning the hotel. The two are one of the few debuters to not host as Camera is plugged into TV and is used to take photos of the contestants while Clapboard isn't present at all afterwards.

In the short UNREAL BFDI, a Rube Goldberg machine displays the cast of the series being transformed into one another. In their case, the two don't interact but are fairly close to each other.

Fanon[]

The ship is a rarepair in the Battle for Dream Island fandom. This is largely due to the fact that both are supporting characters compared to the contestants of the series. Though, in fan art with the failed debuters, the two are sometimes put together because of their similarities including being theatre production equipment and being some of the only two debuters to interact with each other. As a ship, it is mainly appreciated by those focusing on pairings between the failed debuters. The two don't necessarily have other popular ships either.
