Clara & Svarog is the family ship between Clara and Svarog from the Honkai: Star Rail fandom.
Canon[]
History[]
Clara was orphaned at a young age, her previous family and background unknown, and was found in a landfill southeast of Boulder Town by a robot named Svarog - who took her in. Svarog raised Clara from then until the current canon timeline in-game. He taught her to speak the Belobog common tongue and encouraged her talents for mechanical engineering whilst also pushing her to communicate with other humans, Clara being hesitant to do so as she grew up around various robots. Svarog goes as far as to label his mission of developing a suitable socialization and communication program for Clara as high priority and urgent. This led to the start of Clara's friendship with another child in the Underworld, Hook, Svarog makes a log of their meeting in his database and tags it as important due to it's tremendous significance.
Clara aids Svarog in his long-term mission to preserve the Underworld and she takes in and guides many vagrants, helping them with survival best she can. Upon realizing some of the vagrants were attempting to access the Overworld through their base's transport passage Svarog decides they must seal the gates of the base to prevent them. Whilst Clara initially disagrees, stating that she believed locking the gates was an "incomprehensible" act, she eventually changes her mind after listening to Svarog's calculations of how isolation is the best method for the Underworld to survive for as long as possible. Whilst she shows more compassion than Svarog, ultimately she trusts his calculations and deductions most.
When the probability of survival in the Underworld sees no major increase in five cycles Svarog makes a goal to himself to spend the next cycle trying to find Clara's real family, despite her being insistent that she's already found her real family (Svarog), wanting to complete said task as soon as he can.
In the Withering Wintery Night[]
Clara and Svarog are both first introduced part-way through the Jarilo-VI Trailblazer Mission, in which the miners and vagrants have a dispute over a large vein of geomarrow and Clara bring Svarog to the mines in hopes he can help them. Svarog settles the dispute and gains temporary control over the evacuation zone, but upon the player and Wildfire arriving and Svarog noticing their hostility the two leave.
It isn't until later into the story that one of the two, Clara, appears again. Much like Seele and Bronya, who are searching for medical supplies for the miners who were harmed in the previous conflict, Clara is also searching for painkillers for the harmed vagrants in Rivet Town. Clara and the player agree to split the painkillers in half. Later in the day, when the player and their companions go to the Robot Settlement in hopes of negotiating with Svarog about his plans to keep everyone from the Overworld, they learn from the robot at the main gate that only guests of Clara are permitted through and that said girl hadn't returned from her trip. The group quickly rush back to Rivet Town and find the robot that had assisted her was damaged severely and the young girl was no where in sight, after more search they find her being cornered by a creature from the Fragmentum and save her from harm.
The idea of asking Clara to take them to meet Svarog is voiced but Clara refuses, trusting Svarog's calculations and not wanting anymore conflict, she's quick to run back to the Settlement with the painkillers for the vagrants. But it isn't long until she crosses paths with the player again, by the time they catch up to her she's struggling to fix an important generator but doesn't want to bother Svarog for help so the player helps her once again and she quickly reminds them that she wasn't going to take them to Svarog. After some talk about how they could change Svarog's calculations, not being included in the at the time since they weren't from Jarilo-VI and therefore not variables in Svarog's database, and assuring Clara they weren't looking for a fight she relents and takes them to talk with him.
The peace doesn't last long, the situation quickly evolving into a fight between the group and Svarog, much to Clara's dismay and when the robot is defeated and about to be dealt his final blow she quickly runs to shield him - begging the group to not harm Svarog and convincing said man to hear the group out. Only after Clara asking it of him does Svarog oblige.

Fanon[]
Fans were quick to grow fond of the found family dynamic between Clara and Svarog, and much like in-game, a lot of fan content has the two of them together. The two don't have much fan content centering around their family bond due to most fandoms tending to prefer to focus on romantic pairings, but it's a duo most if not all fans enjoy.
