Class Clowns is the femslash between Monaca Towa and Kotoko Utsugi from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon[]
At the start of Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, Monaca and Kotoko were good friends, although we later find out that the friendship was merely faked on Monaca's end. Kotoko would often stand up for Monaca and Monaca was the only person entrusted with mentioning Kotoko's trigger word, which she would go on to abuse. As she does so, she acts like she didn’t mean to hurt Kotoko, and that the only people willing to hurt her are adults, or as they call them, "demons."
At the end of the game, Kotoko realizes how Monaca was manipulating her and faking being her friend. It turned out that Kotoko had witnessed Monaca manipulating and abusing Nagisa. Thus, she found out that Monaca didn’t really care about ‘Kid’s Paradise’ and faked caring the entire time. The reason Monaca was faking being friends with Kotoko was that she wanted to use her as a stepping stone to succeed Junko.
As the building topples over, Monaca gets herself trapped under pieces of the ceiling. In one of her last attempts to get someone to help her, she begs Kotoko for help. Kotoko denies, but still claims to love Monaca, though in a passive-aggressive tone, causing Monaca to scoff.
In Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp, Komaru Naegi, Monaca, and Kotoko are seen together in a sort of pool. When Komaru tries to look after Monaca in a wheelchair, Kotoko pushes Komaru aside, claiming she can do a better job at looking after Monaca. When Komaru asks Kotoko why she dislikes adults, she responds by saying that she doesn’t dislike them, she hates them. She then goes on to describe how she would kill them, making Monaca respond with disgust. This causes Kotoko to scold Komaru for asking. Monaca then asks if Kotoko could relax, to which the latter enthusiastically agrees. Monaca then threatens Komaru if she ruins their fun. The duo then go on to do cannonballs in the water and just have fun in general.

Fanon[]
Kotoko herself claims to love Monaca at the start of the game. Although she likely meant it in a platonic way, this is the main reason why the ship sparked in the first place. However, after the ending of Ultra Despair Girls, the ship began to lose its fans due to Monaca's antagonistic nature.
Most of Monaca and Kotoko’s fanfictions include the two in a toxic relationship of some sort, with 22+ AO3 stories and a Tumblr tag.
