Charley x Emily Elizabeth is the het ship between Charley annd Emily Elizabeth from the Clifford the Big Red Dog fandom.

In “That’s Snow Lie”, Charley and Emily are seen about to go sledding together, but Emily appears nervous. She doesn’t accompany Charley when he invites her to go sledding at the same time. Charley is puzzled by her behavior, and Emily explains that she’s never used the type of sled she has before. Upon hearing that she’s worried about not doing well on it, Charley laughingly points out that several other children sledding aren’t doing particularly well either. With his encouragement, Emily is able to start sledding, and finds the experience quite enjoyable.
In “Clifford on Parade”, Charley and Emily are seen riding on Clifford’s back ahead of the Birdwell Island Parade. The two are working together to prepare a float for the event, and are excited about the prospect despite being unsure of the theme. While brainstorming, the pair sit together eating fries, and Emily ends up liking the idea of a sports themed float while Charley hits upon the idea of doing an ocean theme. Left alone with Clifford, Charley decides to make a pirate float and surprise Emily with it. However, Emily is less than enthusiastic upon seeing it, having really warmed to the idea of a basketball themed float.
The two friends end up having an argument, each preferring their idea, and decide to make their own separate floats. Clifford is displeased by the rift, and hits upon the idea of combining their ideas in the hopes of bringing them back together. Meanwhile, Emily approaches Charley again and admits that she dislikes the idea of doing the float without him. Charley agrees, feeling that the primary appeal of the activity was getting to do it as friends.
Each then attempts to let the other do the float idea they wanted, only for Clifford to arrive wearing elements of both their floats. Despite being touched by the gesture, Charley and Emily decide that they should try to come up with one unified float idea. Charley then offers Emily a hotdog, and upon realizing that all three of them enjoy the food, they are inspired. Charley and Emily don mustard and ketchup bottle costumes, and dress Clifford as a giant hotdog. The pair are glad to have come to an agreement on the theme, and exchange their customary high five in celebration.
In “Potluck Party Pooper”, Charley attends a potluck hosted by Emily Elizabeth’s family in their backyard. He also joins Emily and others in trying to entice her grouchy neighbor Mr. Bleakman into joining the party. In “Clifford’s Carnival”, Charley and Emily both take part in preparations for the Fall Carnival. Both are amused when their bossy friend Jetta gets a deflated balloon on her face. Later, the two share a bemused look when Jetta claims to be tired, despite having mostly “supervised” preparations.
The two are further bemused when Jetta tries to make them handle the cleaning of a merry go round. They both become worried when Jetta bosses Clifford into helping. Charley and Emily attend the carnival together, riding on the Ferris wheel and later on a teacup ride with their respective parents joining them. As Emily plays a dunking booth game, Charley looks on and celebrates with Emily when she succeeds in dunking her father. The two later sit together at the front of a wagon as Clifford pulls it for a hayride, and watch as Clifford is rewarded for his assistance with a giant-sized ice cream sundae.
In “Tummy Trouble”, Charley assists Emily in helping teach Clifford tricks and rewarding him with treats. They are interrupted when Emily’s mother calls them to drive to soccer practice. The pair later return with some additional treats for Clifford, only to discover that Clifford and his dog friends have overindulged in the ones Charley and Emily were feeding Clifford earlier. In “The Best Party Ever”, Charley joins Emily in preparing for her upcoming birthday party. The two have fun preparing homemade party favors, only to realize sheepishly that they’ve used some items belonging to Emily’s parents.
The pair announce their intent to handle all aspects of the event, with the exception of Emily’s cake. Both are enthusiastic, and Charley encourages Emily when she is briefly discouraged by Jetta belittling their ideas. He then suggests they deliver their invitations by bike, but at Emily’s suggestion they ride Clifford instead. Charley later questions Emily’s intent to invite Jetta, since Jetta was so dismissive earlier, and Emily agrees that it’s probably a waste of time.
Upon seeing Emily go past her house, Jetta is dismayed, but decides to pretend that she’s busy that day anyway. Emily, Charley, and their other friends enjoy themselves as predicted, but upon Clifford showing the pair that Jetta is at home and obviously unhappy they decide to give her another chance. To Charley’s confusion, Emily claims that they have added a waterslide as suggested by Jetta herself. As it turns out, they have…but the slide consists of going down Clifford’s tail and landing in a wading pool.
In “Clifford’s Big Surprise”, Charley is among the Birdwell Island residents who help Emily put together a surprise party for Clifford. In “Stars In Your Eyes”, Charley comes running to show Emily the telescope he’s just been given by his father. Emily proposes that they throw a stargazing party to try the telescope out, only for Jetta to try and sabotage things. She convinces Charley that his telescope might get damaged if he brings it to the party, and that not attending the party would be better than going and not bringing it.
Judging Emily to be a better friend than Jetta implies, Charley tries to tell her that he doesn’t think it’s a good idea to bring it to a party on the beach. Emily suggests that everyone can just take extra care with it, which convinces Charley that Jetta was right. When Charley fails to arrive for the party, Emily becomes concerned, while Charley shows clear signs of boredom and guilt at home. Jetta repeats the points she made to Charley earlier, Emily voices the conviction that Charley didn’t have to bring his telescope.
When Jetta argues that Emily would have been mad if he had done that, Emily is appalled to learn that Jetta said as much to Charley. She then leads her friends going to collect Charley, caring more about having him at the party than about getting to use his telescope. Fortunately, Emily is able to set Charley straight on things, and the two friends then share a hug. Charley is then inspired to use Clifford as a viewing platform for his telescope. He later suggests that he and Emily might really travel the stars someday.
In “The Big Sleepover”, Emily Elizabeth leaves Clifford with Charley overnight while she and her parents are away at a wedding. Clifford becomes distressed, and Charley quickly recognizes that Clifford misses Emily. After multiple failed attempts to soothe Clifford, Charley notes that he also is slightly sad about Emily’s absence. After Emily returns, Charley notes that everyone missed her, but no one quite as much as Clifford.
In “Screaming For Ice Cream”, Charley and Emily are playing near his father’s restaurant when his dad had to leave for an eye exam. Charley offers Emily an ice cream from the shop’s machine, but then starts selling them to tourists with help from Emily, Clifford, and the other dogs. However, the two start to get worn out from the business, and then the machine gets stuck producing ice cream. The two friends attempt to manage it, but end up unleashing a flood of ice cream across the Birdwell Island dock.
Emily suggests that they approach Pedro the dockworker for help, but Charley is determined to prove that he can deal with the situation. Eventually, Charley becomes desperate and expresses as much to Emily, only for his father to arrive back and express his disappointment. Both kids apologize to Charley’s father, and Emily promises to help clean up the mess. Working together, the two manage the task with a little assistance from Clifford.
In “It’s My Party”, Emily and Charley are riding on Clifford with their friend Vaz as they’re on their way to a movie watching party. When Emily reveals the movie she’s brought for them to watch, Charley proves to also be a fan. Upon arriving at the party, the two take seats next to each other on their friend Jetta’s couch. However, both are less than thrilled to learn that Jetta invited them over so she could show them her home movies, as opposed to watching the ones they brought.
Both are later amused, however, when Clifford and Jetta’s dog Mac start engaging in some silly antics. Both also enthusiastically endorse Val’s suggestion that they make their own movie, and leave Jetta to continue watching her home movies. The two friends take up the parts of actors in their movie, and find the experience quite enjoyable. Ultimately, Jetta decides to join the group, which they agree to eagerly.
