Archon Quest: Chapter III[]
Act I: Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark[]
It all begins when Aether, after finishing all his business in the Inazuma region, decides to travel to Sumeru in order to find Archon Dendro there and get more clues about his sister. But suddenly, after seeing a scholar, who is lighting an incense, the incense causes the Traveler to fall unconscious. He has a vision of a massive, glowing, white tree under a red sky; upon approaching it, he hears a feminine voice say, "...World... Forget me..." The vision ends as Aether awakens in Gandharva Ville, where he was taken by Forest Rangers Tighnari and Collei to receive treatment. It is at that moment that Aether, upon awakening, meets Collei for the first time. The next day, Tighnari allows Aether to accompany Collei on one of her patrols through the Forest around Gandharva Village.
After finishing Collei's pending work, the two sit down to have lunch. Although Aether did not expect it since the special food that Collei usually prepares is a simple sandwich called Pita Pocket, inherited from Tighnari. Collei offers to write the recipe for him so that the Traveler can prepare it at any time.
Just when they were already having a great time together, Paimon starts to get in a bad mood when they got to the topic of how Paimon reacted when Tighnari saw the unconscious Aether, but that caused Aether and Collei to laugh together non-stop. This ended up exhausting Paimon's patience who decided to make her feel very bad by touching her and bothering her with non-stop harassment, but it went so far that Collei already started to have a lot of annoyance and insecurity due to a very strong trauma that she experienced in the past. Collei went to her bed because of it and Paimon starts to worry that she would never want to see them again because of that event. The next day, Aether and Paimon receive bad news from Tighari that Collei is already suffering from the Eleazar disease and that it has already reached its critical point to the point of forcing Tighnari to cancel all patrols.
However, after helping Tighnari to eliminate the withered areas of the forest, Aether learns that the intensity of the Eleazar has already decreased a bit and therefore Collei can at least do the housework but cannot continue patrolling the forest. Before leaving for Sumeru City, Aether says goodbye to Collei and leaves.
Act V: Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises[]
After saving the Lesser Lord Kusanali, Aether and Nahida offer, from afar, indirect and definitive help to all the people suffering from Eleazar, including Collei, since Nahida erases the Greater Lord Rukkhadevata and with her, all forbidden knowledge from the Irminsul. With this, the Eleazar disease is cured permanently.
Collei, now fully healthy, resumes her work as a Forest Guard as normal, not to mention that Collei already takes care of Aether when it comes to emergency food. During one of those meetings with Collei, a certain dancer from the Zubayr Theater sends him a letter to go to Sumeru City, causing Aether to have to say goodbye to Collei again and head to Sumeru City, from where he would continue his journey to Fontaine...
Graven Innocence[]
Aether heads to an area of the forest in the vicinity of Gandharva Village. Soon, he hears the voice of a certain forest guard having a conversation with a child. Aether manages to locate the source of said voices, who turn out to be Collei and a child named Razi. Circumstances soon lead Aether and Collei to an adult man named Tanger, who thanks him for taking the child back with him.
Later, after camping for the night, Aether finds Collei alone, worried about finding the "evidence of the Aranara", but they decide not to bother her in her affairs.
Eventually, Aether decides to help Akara Crafts, while Collei returns to her job as a forest patroller.
Windblume's Breath[]
Aether and Paimon take some time from their journey through Sumeru and return to Mondstadt as the Windblume festival would soon begin. In the middle of a conversation with Sucrose, Aether notices that Collei has just arrived in Mondstadt, so he heads over to where she is. Collei reveals that she only came to look at some books from the children of Mondstadt and that she found a paper that seems to tell a prophecy.
But soon, Collei meets Sucrose for the first time and when Paimon introduced them to each other, they both became shy. Still, they would eventually become good friends. They and Aether proceed to search for the meaning of said prophecy, eventually leading them to meet Albedo, Amber, Eula, Tighnari, and Cyno.
Eventually the clues of the prophecy lead to a table with an ancient lamp that lights up when the answers are given.
After the Windblume Festival passes, Collei stays in Mondstadt for a while longer before returning to Sumeru.
A Parade of Providence[]
Aether learns that there is an event called Akademiya Extravaganza, where the best students representing their areas compete: Tighnari, Cyno, Kaveh, Faruzan, Layla, and Hat Guy. Upon going to this event, he was immediately assigned as a commentator who can freely walk around following the competitors. Eventually, Aether finds Collei doing her best to help her master Tighnari, but they don't interact much.
Secret Summer Paradise[]
Aether meets Collei again, this time in a conversation with Eula. And this time, Aether brought his Mondstadt companions: Kaeya and Klee, with a magical invitation to a secret domain somewhere in the desert. Together, they embark on a new adventure to the Sumeru Desert, to see that in reality, that domain was in a bottle. Magically, they were able to enter this domain to see how big this domain is. Collei notes that while it is beautiful, it is too quiet and not very lively.
So Aether, Collei and company went deeper into this domain and found one of Aether's friends, talking to Idiya. This is Sangonomiya Kokomi, a commander who led Sangonomiya's troops against the Shogun's followers in Inazuma. Collei and Eula let Aether, Kokomi, Klee, and Kaeya ride a cart that runs like a roller coaster, which is called the "Choo-Choo Cart."
Eventually, everyone would work to return this domain to its full glory so that the entire domain would look as lively as possible. Before the Traveler continued his journey to Fontaine, everyone stayed in this domain a while longer to have fun, just like Aether did in his past two summers in the Golden Apple Archipelago.
Summertide Scales and Tales: Appendix[]
One day after Aether and Nilou had their adventures in Simulanka with Navia and Wanderer, everyone returns to their respective regions, but new visitors arrive, most of them from Mondstadt. Collei entered Simulanka to appreciate the Forest of Blessings that Nilou had just restored before leaving, all animated with little paper animals that move like they are alive.
Aether finds Collei in Simulanka, but they only have a brief conversation. She tells him that something mysterious and strange is happening in Sumeru and that the Traveler should find out what it is about. At that, Collei says goodbye to the Traveler for the moment and continues in Simulanka for a while longer...
Chromatic Ode of Candies and Roses[]
Aether learns that the next Sabzeruz festival is coming up and Nahida's birthday is about to start, so they head to Ormos Port in Sumeru. So upon arriving, Aether meets up with Collei again at a meeting with Tighnari, Dehya, and Candace. Paimon is super excited to celebrate this festival, but Collei and the others have to keep her quiet since it's a surprise festival for Nahida and no one should ruin it until the time comes.
However, Collei doesn't have time to spend time with Aether, since he has to go with Candace to buy something for this festival.
When the Sabzeruz Festival was a success and is about to end, all of Aether's friends from Sumeru gather together to take a photo. There, at the moment when the photo is taken with the Kamera, Collei is sitting right next to Aether. Both of them have this as a memory about this festival.
Fanon[]
Notably, Collei is the first girl Aether meets in the Sumeru region and she has appeared in more events where she can interact with him, despite her not having any Hangout events. What fans often appreciate about this ship is that both Aether and Collei have a passion for adventure and travel, not to mention that fans consider Collei to be the "Amber of Sumeru", as Collei and Aether even got to interact in Mondstadt, on par with Amber, an Outrider of the Knights of Favonius.
While this ship outclasses some like Sucrollei, it is often rivaled by Amther, Collber and to a greater extent, Nilother and Tighlei.
