Confettishipping is the het ship between Dan Mandel and Pinkie Pie from the My Little Pony and Dan Vs. fandoms.
Canon[]
These two are from two separate shows and have never interacted in the canon of their respective shows. However, both shows aired on The Hub, so the characters interacted in commercials that were played on the channel. In one, Pinkie Pie bedazzles Dan's car and he shouts her name in anger. In another, Dan spies Pinkie Pie through binoculars in the forest. Pinkie Pie sings "The Ticket Song" and Dan says, "It's even more terrifying than I thought."

The ship rose to prominence in part because of the crossover commercials. Dan also became a recurring character on the fan-made My Little Pony YouTube series "Fluffle Puff." This helped the character gain popularity among MLP fans and strengthened the association between the two cartoons. Many fans like the contrast between Dan's grumpy attitude and Pinkie's positivity.
Dan Mandel is a jobless misanthrope who thinks the world is out to get him. He is quick-to-anger and won't rest until he gets revenge on those who have wronged him. However, he also has a very specific moral code and thinks he is only doing what is fair to get even. He is shown to have a soft spot for cats and is very affectionate to his cat Mr. Mumbles. He also enjoys spending time with his best friend Chris. In contrast, Pinkie Pie, is sweet, bubbly, and fun-loving. She enjoys throwing parties, singing songs, and making her many friends smile. Her Element of Harmony is "laughter." She is Dan's opposite in a lot of ways.
There isn't much of fan fiction of the pairing. On AO3, for example, there is currently only one work written about the ship. However, there is a lot of fan art of these two in various platforms. On Tumblr, there is at least over 10 fan art under the search words "Dan and Pinkie Pie". On DeviantArt, there is also several fan art created about them.
