Creamerl is the friendship between Gemerl and Cream from the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom.

Eggman created Gemerl to be the ultimate fighting robot. When Tails reprogrammed him, Gemerl became a good robot and began living with Vanilla and Cream.
Throughout the entire Metal Virus Arc Gemerl heavily prioritizes Cream's safety, sometimes even to a fault.
Cream and Gemerl get introduced in the IDW comics in issue #18. While Sonic, infected with the metal virus, attempts to find Cream, Gemerl prevents him. While arguing with Sonic, Gemerl states that protecting Cream is his top priority. When Gemerl starts firing missiles at zombots, Cream rushes outside of her house and begs Gemerl to stop attacking, protesting that his targets are victims. Gemerl accepts Cream's request to only use non-lethal force in protecting her. After Sonic runs off some of his metal virus, he helps Cream and Vanilla evacuate their home due to a zombot break-in. After a brief apology from Gemerl, Sonic tells him that the rabbits are heading towards North Glade and that he wants Gemerl to make sure the shuttle launches without a problem.
In issue #20, Gemerl and Sonic butt heads again since Sonic is still infected and he views him as a threat. Cream begs Gemerl to let Sonic inside the Restoration HQ so he can speak with Amy and Gemerl relents.
In issues #26-29, Cream and Gemerl work together to retrieve a Chaos Emerald from Zeena. Zeena can control robots and she laughs about how dumb it was to send a robot to fight against her. But Gemerl hits his own head and damages his own programming to prevent himself from attacking Cream. Since Zeena hurt Cream, Gemerl grows furious, grabbing Zeena by her ankles and flinging her into a crowd of Zombots. They succeed at aquiring the Chaos Emerald, but Cream gets infected in the process. Instead of returning through the portal back to Angel Island, Gemerl tosses the emerald through the portal, sticking with Cream until she is better. He picks Cream up bridal style and flies up, giving her a view of the vast landscape before she is fully converted into a zombot.

Gemerl's actions towards Cream can be interpreted as aligning with those of an older protective sibling. That could be one reason why most fans prefer to ship Cream and Gemerl platonically rather than romantically. As of May 2025, there are 12 works on Ao3 for their platonic pairing and zero for their romantic pairing. There is also some fanart for this pairing on Deviantart.
