Crickriella[1] is the het ship between Cricket Green and Gabriella Espinosa from the Big City Greens fandom.
Canon[]
Season 1[]
Cricket and Gabriella meet in "Valentine's Dance". Beforehand, Cricket and his male friends convinced each other that love was not for them, but as Cricket and the others dance, they are approached by a girl whom they try to send off. The girl tells Cricket that her friend asked her to ask him if she wanted to dance with her. The girl turns out to be Gabriella, whom Cricket instantly becomes lovestruck with. He cannot bring himself to break her heart and flees, shocked at experiencing love for the first time. He runs into Gloria, who is waiting for her crush Kevin to arrive, and tells her about the experience he has been having. She deduces that he has a crush, which sends him running. He avoids answering Gabriella's question throughout the entire dance, but when he finally mustered up tbe courage, Remy had stolen the spot, though they didn't get together.
Season 2[]
In "Gabriella's Fella", Cricket can't seem to take his mind off Gabriella after the Valentine's dance, and since Remy danced with her, he since then assumed she and Remy are going out. However, he reassures Cricket they were just "old friends". Remy suggests he talk to her, but Cricket is nervous that Gabriella will flat-out reject him. Remy sees that when he has ever needed help, he would always go to Cricket; this time, the roles have reversed; Remy will help Cricket get over his nerves. Just then, Community Sue announces that she's painting a mural outside, and she needs two kids to help. Gabriella and Cricket is chosen; the latter due to Remy pulling his hand up, despite Cricket's hesitation. Cricket and Gabriella meet once again, the former very nervous. Outside, Sue instructs Cricket and Gabriella on the painting, which will depict a muscular Sue being cheered on by others. Cricket is still unable to keep his nerves in check, so he edges out; however Sue pushes him back towards Gabriella's direction. After a bit of talk, it seemed they had a lot in common, and Cricket asks if they could team up for pranks one day, but Gabriella said she was heading to Montreal before leaving to get on the bus. Fearing she'd leave for good, he catches her bus with the help of Vasquez and gets on it. There, he confessed his feelings for her, which she reciprocated, and they began dating.
In "Date Night", Cricket and Gabriella want to go on a "date" to see America Rat at the movies, and ask Cricket's dad Bill to chaperone. Unfortunately for them, Bill had other ideas and takes them to a fancy restaurant to eat. The two decide to have fun and pull pranks on the other customers, but are caught by Bill and are forced to have a "proper date", which they are not happy about.
Season 3[]
In "Long Goodbye", Cricket and Gabriella reuinite after Cricket came back to Big City, and they pull a few pranks together.
Season 4[]
In "April Fool", Cricket tries to come up with the perfect prank to play on Gabriella for April Fools' Day, as it is their way of affection. However, Cricket gets "pranker's block" and is unable to come up with one. Later, he sees one of the Cyber Knights, Selena, pulling pranks and decides to pull one on her to clear his head. He succeeds, but is caught by Gabriella, who is unhappy with this. They make up however and eventually prank Gloria and Alice together.
In "Split Decision", Gabriella has since taken interest in goth and sends a letter to Cricket saying that she broke up with him, since she believes they are no longer compatible. Desperate to stay with her, he tries to reinvent himself accordingly so they could be compatible again. However, he failed to fit the gothic personality. Eventually, Cricket just accepts Gabriella's decision and they remained friends.
Fanon[]
Crickriella is one of the popular ships within the Big City Greens fandom. Obviously, one reason is due to their former relationship in the series. Many fans seemed displeased with their split-up episode, which furthermore has a 6/10 on IMDb.
