Crimui is the het ship between Ennui and Crimson from the Ridonculous Race fandom.
Canon[]
Crimson and Ennui were first introduced in "None Down, Eighteen to Go - Part 1", where they were placed on the team, aptly titled "The Goths". They sat next to each other on the bus but didn't breathe a single word, instead just looking blankly into the camera with a cold stare of death.
Crimson and Ennui first spoke in "French is an Eiffel Language", where Ennui drew a sketch of Crimson and asked her if she wanted to look alive in the picture. During the challenge, the couple had to go down into the Catacombs of Paris, where they were surrounded by the skeletal corpses of plague victims. Crimson and Ennui were extremely happy down there, although nothing about their facial expressions or tones expressed that. Ennui, however, noted that this place would make a nice amusement park or a playground for kids.
Crimson and Ennui were a power couple in "Bjorken Telephone", when they went to Iceland. Firstly, the goths annoyed Don with their complete lack of reactions. The two of them effortlessly walked through the geysers of Geysisgil and approached an Icelandic native. Crimson had her first dialogue, when she said "Vensamlejast gefa mer nina travel au bending." in perfectly fluent Icelandic. Crimson stated in the confessional that she and Ennui listen to all the Icelandic death metal bands, so they know the language. When making it to the second leg of the challenge, Crimson and Ennui watched as most of the other terams chose to explore the ice caves for fossils. Being the rebels they are, the goths decided to consume the traditional Icelandic meals instead. They enjoyed a delicious meal of putrefied shark, pickled herring, cured ram, broiled puffin, and singed sheep heads. The goths very quickly woofed down their food and cleaned their plates. They made it over to the chill zone and won first place. Again, they exhibited absolutely no emotion.
In "Brazilian Pain Forest", as the winners of the last episode, the goths were the first ones to receive their travel tip. Ennui fished a travel tip out of an oven mitt full of bullet ants, which caused his hand to completely swell up. Ennui monotonously said "Ow." and Crimson told him not to be so dramatic.
In "A Tisket, A Tasket, I'm Gunna Blow a Casket", Crimson and Ennui were overjoyed to see that their next stop would be Transylvania. Their challenge was to have one of them go inside of a coffin, while the other one pushed said coffin through a graveyard. Crimson chose to be in the coffin, while Ennui pushed her through. Halfway through the challenge, Crimson got out of the coffin and told her boyfriend that she didn't want him to miss his one opportunity to be in a real coffin (that he would remember, anyway). They switched places and Crimson pushed Ennui the remainder of the way. This turned out to be a bad idea because when they got to the chill zone, Don gave them a time penalty for not completing the challenge properly. Fortunately for them, the goths' penalty ended before the fashionistas made it to the chill zone, so they stayed in the race.
Crimson and Ennui were heartbroken in "Hawaiian Honeyruin" to have to leave Transylvania and go to Hawaii instead. Crimson held Ennui up during the hot rocks challenge, refusing to wear her grass skirt until she colored it in all black. Although Ennui was invisibly annoyed, he and Crimson still placed 10th and stayed in the game.
The goths went through a huge turning point in their relationship in "I Love Ridonc & Roll" that threw a huge monkey wrench in their togetherness. For the challenge in Finland, they needed to spend like 20 minutes in a sauna, which caused their makeup to melt. When the two goths looked at each other, for the first time ever, they exhibited actual emotion, when they gasped in complete and total horror. They made it to the semi-frozen river where Kitty slipped on some ice and knocked them both in, helping their makeup to wash off. When they got out, Crimson and Ennui were fully un-gothed and were horrified to see each others' true faces (and their own). They wore bags over their heads and stated in the confessional how they had only been dating for 3 years, so naturally, they had never seen each other un-gothed before. They also admitted to each other that even though they still love each other on the inside, they couldn't stand the sight of each other on the outside. During the rock challenge, Ennui was booed off the stage for not looking goth enough. Crimson felt attacked when Carrie and Devin gave her a ton of compliments for her true hair color and skin pigmentation. After all of this pain and suffering, the goths decided to quit the show altogether. However, on their way out, they found a goth fashion store, where they bought some new makeup and some even scarier clothing. They returned to the game as some even freakier and drearier versions of themselves and completely rocked the house, saving themselves from elimination. The goths decided that even though they went through a real rough patch back there, with them being un-gothed before each other before they were ready, their love is stronger now than ever before and they continued the challenge together.
Crimson and Ennui's relationship grew even stronger than that in "Down and Outback", when they went to Australia and took a liking to all of the bunny rabbits, not because they were cute, but because they posed a threat to the natural wildlife of Australia. They kept on eating all of the farmers' crops and multiplying like a plague. They adopted a black rabbit and named him "Loki". The goths would cover Loki in goth makeup and turn him into one of them. From then on, Crimson and Ennui would take Loki with them, wherever they went, making him an unofficial third member of the team.
Fanon[]
Crimui is a popular ship in the fandom, due to them surprisingly being one of the healthiest relationships in the franchise. While most other couples in the show constantly bicker and go through struggles together, the goths being the calmest and happiest couple endeared fans to them. Shippers also enjoy how they adopted a little pet bunny rabbit named Loki, enjoying how this gave their relationship a parental vibe as well.
