Cyberspace is the slash ship between Kaito Momota and K1-B0 from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon[]
In Chapter 1, Kiibo was worried alongside everyone else about what it would mean about the first motive, anyone who committed the first killing will graduate without holding a trial, effectively calling it a "First Blood Perk". Kiibo expressed panic, as he was worrying a murder would happen very quickly. Aside from Kaito Momota, the Ultimate Astronaut, who became increasingly outraged with Monokuma for doing whatever he wanted and lunged at him. After the first trial, Kiibo told Kaito what he was supposed to do before he hit Shuichi. After which, Kiibo expressed concern for Kaito.
In Chapter 5, as planned, K1-B0 and everyone else gathered in the gymnasium at nighttime, with Kaito bringing a vast assortment of weapons from Maki’s Research Lab. Under any normal circumstance, Kiibo is against violence. However, he was so angered at the killing game he joined Kaito is attempting to kill Monokuma. When that supposed missing person arrives riding an Exisal and supposedly pretended to be Kaito before "revealing" themselves as Kokichi, K1-B0, along with everyone else, believes that Kaito must have been the victim until later on in the trial, where the voice coming out of the Exisal changed to match Kaito's again. Kiibo had to be convinced by Shuichi that it was Kokichi in the Exisal and not Kaito.
When Kaito has gone missing, Kiibo, along with everyone else in the class, was extremely depressed and despaired, implying Kaito was Kiibo's only motivation to even perform basic actions. However, at the end of Kaito's trial, Kaito reassured everyone to smile, send him off in style, and that he won't accept their tears before proudly accepting his execution. As he chose to die on his own terms and not Monokuma's. During his execution, however, a bit of rubble was kicked up, knocking off K1-B0's "connector" to the outside world, making him unable him to hear the audience's voice, causing him to malfunction. The malfunction caused him to become extremely violent, losing his empathy, ability to critically think, and made him attempt to destroy the school.
They share two events in the non-canonical Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp. In one, Kiibo asks for Kaito's help as he has been assigned to work the kitchen for the Summer Festival. As he cannot taste, he asks for Kaito's opinion on his miso soup. Kaito replies that he likes his miso soup thicker, and Kiibo replies that it wasn't made for him in particular. He asks if the flavoring is satisfactory, and Kaito says it would be better if whoever ordered could ask for the soup exactly the way they liked it. Later, Kiibo invites Kaito and some other classmates to witness "the world's first dramatic reading under the starts by a genuine robot". Kaito praises the performance, while the others pick at its flaws. Kaito notes that a robot acting like a human is certainly trickier than a human trying to act like another human, but he reassures Kiibo and tells him that all he needs is the right approach. Kaito encourages him to read between the lines of the play, and to try and think less like a robot. Kiibo promises to learn more and try again, and Kaito says he'll be there for the next round.
Fanon[]
Cyberspace is a rarepair in the Danganronpa fandom. A lot of fans are initially drawn to the ship because they enjoy the fun ship name. Still, many grow to like the pairing due to the optimistic nature that the characters share. Cyberspace is most often rivalled by Kaito and Kiibo's respective ships with Kokichi (Oumota and Kiibouma) and Shuichi (Saimota and Saiibo). Some fans instead choose to ship the four characters together in a polycule.
It currently has over 40 works on AO3, and is Kiibo's eighth most popular ship. Most of the fan content are fanfictions of the ship, although there is a small but dedicated fanbase on Tumblr as well.
