Dad For One is the family ship between Izuku Midoriya and All For One from the My Hero Academia fandom.
Canon[]
Izuku is the protagonist of the My Hero Academia series, and All For One is the main antagonist. All For One's goal is to acquire the Quirk One For All, which Toshinori Yagi has passed down to Izuku. A few months after passing on the Quirk, Toshinori reveals the truth about All For One to Izuku. He warns him that he'll likely have to face and attempt to defeat All For One some time in the near future, and Izuku accepts this fate.
Izuku first encounters All For One in the Kamino Ward. Although they do not officially meet, Izuku is struck with paralyzing fear at the mere presence of All For One. The two finally square off face to face during the Paranormal Liberation War, when All For One possess Tomura Shigaraki's body. He taunts Izuku, and manages to get under his skin. He continues to use his abilities for manipulation against Izuku, later convincing him that he will always be in danger so long as he possesses One For All. This causes Izuku to run away from UA and take un the life of a vigilante hero.
Izuku is shown to hold a strong hatred for All For One. He believes strongly that Tomura Shigaraki can be redeemed, and hates the ways in which he sees All For One manipulating him. He also was hurt to discover that All For One had been manipulating Yuga Aoyama behind the scenes for their entire first year at UA. All For One seems to be keenly interested in Izuku, and it is unclear if that is merely an interest in his Quirk or something more. Currently, the pair are gearing up for a major battle in the Final War.

All For One being Izuku's biological father is a common headcanon and theory in the My Hero Academia fandom. As Izuku's father, Hisashi Midoriya, has never been seen in the anime or manga and is barely mentioned by Izuku or Inko, many fans like to believe that Izuku was fathered by All For One. Some believe that "Hisashi Midoriya" is simply a psueodnym adopted by All For One, while others believe that Hisashi Midoriya is a seperate person who married Inko/helped raise Izuku, but is not Izuku's biological father. Horikoshi stated in 2018 that Izuku's father would eventually be revealed, which only spurred fans on further.
While some fans simply like to play around with the idea of All For One being Izuku's father through their fan art and fan fiction, other fans fully believe that the reveal will be made canon. Horikoshi's love for Star Wars, and penchant for including Star Wars names and references in My Hero Academia, has led many to compare the Dad For One relationship to the iconic Vaderluke plot twist.
Some fans choose to write about Izuku and All For One as merely enemies, or as All For One taking a vigilant Deku under his wing. These stories often do not portray All For One as Izuku's biological father, but some might turn him into a dark father figure for Izuku; the villainous version of DadMight. Other fans like the idea of Izuku working to try and redeem both All For One and Tomura Shigaraki. Readers of the manga have been anxiously waiting for Izuku and All For One to finally face off in the Final War arc.
There are currently over 900 works on AO3 for the platonic Izuku and All For One relationship that do not portray All For One as Izuku's father; some even go so far as to explicitly tag that All For One is NOT Izuku's father. In contrast, there are over 4000 works about All For One being Izuku's biological father.
