Dadlador is the family ship between Amity Blight, Emira Blight, Edric Blight and Alador Blight from The Owl House fandom.
Canon[]
Their relationship with each other was rocky at first, the Blight siblings often bickered with each other due to Amity snitching on them and them constantly teasing her. However, their relationship with each other starts to improve after Amity almost gets killed because of the actions of Edric and Emira. The twins try to make up for what happened by helping Amity with her spells, but still tease her in a friendly way instead of a harsh way. Alador's relationship with kids was rocky at first, he ignored Amity's opinions and forced her to go to the emperors coven. However, after the events of the Bonesborough Brawl, he finally listens to them and realizes the impact of his neglect.
In "Reaching Out", Amity wants to go to the Bonesborough Brawl, her dad doesn't let her and forces her to go the emperor coven tryouts. Amity goes behind his back and Edric and Emira help her rebel against their father. Due to the abomaton alarm being set off, Alador finds out that she went to the brawl behind his back and fights the warden.
Amity tries to help Alador fight the warden, however, he pulls her away and as a result the twins boo him. Amity helps him fight the Warden and when he tries to push her, she tells him that she is making her own choices now and Edric helps them out with fighting the warden. After defeating the warden, the two have a conversation, Amity tells her father how shes dating Luz, Alador compliments her new hair color and tells her how its abomination colored. Amity is glad someone noticed and asks him to tell their mother that. Alador attempts to hug Amity and she decides to shake his hand instead, showing that she hasn't fully forgave him, and tells him that it is a start.
In "Clouds on the Horizon", Alador tells King that he wants to become a better parent for his kids.
In "Thanks to Them", Amity draws a picture of Edric, Emira and Alador and excludes Odalia.
In "For the Future", Amity is reunites with her siblings. She is shocked when she sees Edric in a cast.
In "Watching and Dreaming", Amity is happy to see her father and hugs him. In the epilogue, Alador's outfit has symbols on his belt which represent his kids (an emerald and tear to represent Emira and Edric's concealment, a moon to represent Amity's necklace).
Fanon[]
Many people enjoy them because of Alador being a better parent then Odalia, hence why many people were happy when Alador divorced Odalia also keeping the kids. Most people enjoy the father and daughter bond with Alador and Amity, this is because the twins don't get much screen time with Alador. Fans were happy to see them all reunite in "For the Future" and "Watching and Dreaming". However, some think Alador is a bad parent, due to him ignoring his children. But, he has changed and tried to be a better parent for his children.
