Dadzawa & Shinson is the family ship between Shota Aizawa and Hitoshi Shinso from the My Hero Academia fandom.
Canon[]
Shota is a Pro-Hero and teacher at UA, the homeroom instructor for Class 1-A. Hitoshi is a student at UA, in the General Course. Shota first takes notice of Hitoshi during the Sports Festival, as he is one of the only students outside of the Hero Course to make it to the second round of games. Hitoshi longs to be a hero, but has grown up being told that he has the Quirk of a villain. In addition, his Quirk lacks any real combat abilities and thus was useless during the Entrance Exam practical against giant robots.
Shota sees much of himself in Hitoshi as he, too, does not possess a Quirk that is seen as having combat abilities. Because of this, he chooses to take Hitoshi under his wing at some point following the events of the Sports Festival. The two begin to train in private, with Shota eventually passing on his capture scarf to Hitoshi to help him in battle. Shota continues to encourage him through training, and once he believes he is ready he invites Hitoshi to join Class 1-A and Class 1-B in a joint training exercise.
During the course of the exercise, Hitoshi is shown to lack confidence in his skills when compared to the students in the Hero Course. Shota is quick to remind him that he's still learning, and it will take time for him to become a pro. After the final practice battle, where Hitoshi helps save Izuku Midoriya from Black Whip, he tries to pass his decision off as selfish. Shota chokes him with the capture scarf, then tells Hitoshi that there's nothing wrong with acting selfishly. After seeing his performance against the other students, Shota and Vlad King decide that Hitoshi can enter the Hero Course in his second year at UA.
Fanon[]
Fans took quickly to the relationship between Shota and Hitoshi, focusing in on the numerous similarities between them. Their similar Quirks, their eventual use of the same support gear, and their general appearance (messy hair and eyebags) were all things that fans noted when comparing the two characters. Many see Hitoshi as the teenaged version of Shota, and that is why many fans believe Shota chose to take Hitoshi under his wing. Fans like to think that Hitoshi sees Shota as a father figure, often going so far as to give Hitoshi a terrible biological father in their fanworks.
Other fans take this idea further, and headcanon that Shota is the biological or adoptive father of Hitoshi. This headcanon often, but not always, is synonymous with the Aizawa Family fanship. When Shota is Hitoshi's father, fans like to compare the EraserMic relationship to the ShinKami one; Shota and Hitoshi parallel one another as the sullen, dark-haired character, while Hizashi and Denki are the loud, over-excited blond character. Fans will joke that Hitoshi fell in love in the exact same way that his father did.
Dadzawa & Shinson currently has over 4000 works on AO3, making it Hitoshi's fourth most popular ship and Shota's third most popular. It has a relatively popular fanbase as a romantic ship as well, with over 850 works on AO3. The romantic version of this ship is Hitoshi's ninth most popular, and Shota's tenth most popular.
