DakiTan is the het ship between Daki and Tanjiro Kamado from the Demon Slayer fandom.

Daki and Tanjiro had their first encounter at the Entertainment District while Daki was abducting an Oiran named Koinatsu. She laments about how any Demon Slayer that isn't a Hashira, isn't worthy of her time. Tanjiro deduced that the Kanji on her eyes means she's Upper Moon 6. He demands that she releases her. Daki, provoked that a Demon Slayer who's not even a Hashira would make such a demand out of her and sends him flying with her Obi.
As Tanjiro recovers, Daki states that he isn't as fragile as she thought he might be and takes somewhat of a liking to his eyes and threatens to gouge them out. During their fight Daki admits Tanjiro's midair moves weren't half and was impressed with how he did such a well job separating Koinatsu from the rest of the Obi and thus becomes slightly fonder of him.
Daki already deciphers that Tanjiro blades is nicked and growing impatient, decides she's just about ready to kill him. However, when Daki throws her next attack, Tanjiro's technique shifts to Hinokami Kagura and he manages to cut her Obi. As Tanjiro rushes her, she dodges his next attack and sends and Obi that runs throw his neck, but it was merely a feint.
Tanjiro manages to create an opening and goes in Daki mocks him for being slow and knocks him back. After realizing that last attack didn't kill him, she follows up with another but Tanjiro recovers just in time to block her next attack and another clash between them begins with Tanjiro slowly but surely getting more drained from the battle.
Daki is angered that Tanjiro is still fighting and begins to attack him more aggressively and Obi she had scattered earlier returns to her body. Daki remains static for a moment and as Tanjiro attempts to attack her, she smiles knowing that there was a Hashira all along and transforms, having her hair changed. Tanjiro already realizes that in her current state she's even more powerful than before.
A man exits his building angered at the ongoing ruckus being caused as a result of Daki and Tanjiro's battle. Tanjiro tries to warn to man to stay inside his building but it's too late and all Tanjiro can do is push him back with his sword and even that wasn't enough to protect him as his hand was sliced off by Daki's obi and Tanjiro suffered a horrible gash wound on his shoulder and can only watch in horror as the buildings crumble to rubble and innocent civilians are left to comprehend the massacre that had transpired and Daki, satisfied walks away as Tanjiro calls her out which simply annoys her and she responds by telling him anyone that's "ugly" does not deserve to live and that can just die and rot as a whole.
The cruel words strike a nerve in Tanjiro and his eyes grow bloodshot. As Daki begins to escape, Tanjiro grabs her leg right before she is about to go, preventing her from leaving. He tries to swing at her head but she deflects it and jumps back, but he does manage to rip off her foot. Tanjiro laments about how the people she killed can never come back and they can't do what demons can. The words Tanjiro say for some reason, sound familiar to Daki for some reason but realizes they aren't her memories but instead Muzan's. Tanjiro claims Daki was a human and must've felt some sort emotion during her life as one. Daki gets annoyed by Tanjiro's rambling and punches the roof. She claims that she doesn't even remember her past and states she's a demon and doesn't even care. She mentions that demons have nothing to lose over humans and claims that beautiful, powerful demons can do whatever they want.
Tanjiro charges at her and she initiates her Blood Demon Art. Believing she's certain to win, based on Tanjiro's performance against her non-Blood Demon Art attacks and claims she'll be making her way to the Hashira. Tanjiro manages to cut through her sashes, Daki starts questioning how Tanjiro can fare so well against her, especially since her Obi has been strengthened and begins to question if he's even human. Tanjiro gets close enough to try and decapitate her but she mocks him for even trying. Eventually, Tanjiro and Daki begin pulling against each other once Tanjiro traps all of her belts together. Tanjiro closes the distance between them extremely fast that Daki was shocked as well as impressed as Tanjiro is certain he can slash her but a vision of his younger sister, Hanako begs him to breathe and before he can hit Daki, he collapses on the floor in agony.
Daki grows repulsed and mocks Tanjiro for being humans and states they always struggle to their best and begins to feel sorry for him. She states that she'll chop his head off and prepares her next attack, but Nezuko emerges out of nowhere and destroys Daki's head, saving his life. Tanjiro is eventually incapacitated from overworking himself.
Tanjiro's and Daki's interactions end there but during a fight against her brother he realized that if things went wrong he also became a demon with Nezuko they could've turned out just like the demonic duo, and later when Daki and Gyutaro were arguing after their defeat Tanjiro stepped in after they both starting saying cruel things to each other and begged them to not spend their last moments spiting each other because when they pass on all they'll have is each other. Daki cried and told him to not lecture them and it's frustrating that they were defeated in the first place and says that she doesn't want to die and begs her brother to do something to prevent it but inevitably ends up dying.
Fanon[]
DakiTan is a rarepair within the Demon Slayer fandom due to them only fighting against each other, not holding much compared to more loved ships such as TanKana, InoTan and ZenTan. The ship may have gained a small liking by Demon Slayer fans, but it definitely has a small fanbase. Some fans think they could've had an enemies to lovers dynamic.
