Dam is the het ship between Doll and Sam from the Murder Drones fandom.
Canon[]
Sam and Doll have never met on-screen. It is unclear what their relationship as peers are outside of the events of the series. Both teens traveled to the Cabin Fever labs, though Sam attended as an actual camper. Sam has a connection with the Absolute Solver, only since he died to Uzi Doorman when she was possessed by it. Doll bears the Absolute Solver herself, thus she is seen as an eldritch abomination for her new monsterish traits.
Sam is seen being on good terms with Doll's former best friend, Lizzy. This could suggest that they do know each other but we aren't aware of their relationship. Doll has notably separated herself from her friends after the events of The Promening, so it can be theorized that she avoided Sam as well.
Fanon[]
The two are often paired together as a classic teen romance. They can be seen as a Beast and Beauty trope for Doll being considered a monster and Sam being the normal teenage boy. With their interesting contrast in personalities and attributes, the ship gained small attention from fans captivated by it. This makes the ship a rarepair. In reference to their differences, Doll is misleading, first appearing as the quiet girl before revealing to have an extremely dark history as a robotic vampire. This ultimately contrasts Sam's laid back, stoner-like attitude.
Doll is seen as the morally grey girl with the "sweet" innocent boy. This can be upheld with the canon events of the series. Sam is often nonchalant and chill with his surroundings, even when being stomped on the head by his peers. Doll, in contrast, pays no mind nor hesitation to kill innocent Workers her age to achieve her goals. Some fanfictions depict Doll as someone who has difficulty pinpointing her romantic feelings and doesn't know how to express them. This makes for cute interpretations of Doll and Sam's relationship within the fandom.
It can be argued that the ship was inspired by Samzi, the ship between Sam and Uzi Doorman. This is said since there wasn't a wide acknowledgment of Sam ships before Samzi was born. As a result, Doll "replaced" Uzi in the Dam pairing. With both Uzi and Doll's very similar characterization and history, some may say the two ships aren't that different from each other. The ship is heavily rivaled with Dollzi and Dizzy as well.
