Unlike the mainstream universe, the web comic series on the Batfamily has Steph be treated as one of Bruce's wards. Making her and Damian adopted siblings to one another. The web series has had a chapters and scenes between them. Along with Steph dragging Damian in group moments that involve supporting or embarrassing the other Bat sidekicks, like spying on Duke's date and waiting with the boy who was mistaken for Cass's boyfriend.
When Damian reveals that he was having trouble making friends at school, in chapter 23, Steph is the first person to speak in the small group Bruce put together to help Damian. She suggests that he looks for common interests with the people he may like to befriend, before asking Damian what the things he likes are. Which turn out to be swords and world domination, two of the things Steph and Duke don't think he should go with in friend making. After Damian reveals why he works on his tennis skills, to revenge his father's honour after a boy mucked him, Steph respects his reason. Along with Steph being amused with Damian not having faith in the advice given to him.
The next day in chapter 24, Damian was feeling sick from nervousness and calls Steph to get him out of school. She found it cute that Damian was nervous, but Damian didn't think it was and blames her and the others for giving him terrible advice. The call ends with Steph being supportive of Damian and having faith that he'll make a friend, by being the Damian she knows and loves. Despite the upbringing he had before becoming a vigilante. Damian tries to find common interests with the other kids, like Steph suggested, but he messed up when he blurted out that he has a pet cow. Luckily Damian's art skills allows him to befriend a girl who also likes to draw.
As Steph was answering the manor door before the opening events of chapter 43, Damian notices her half eaten sandwich and puts it in the fridge. Because Steph didn't know this when she found it gone, she began to suspect that Jason, Duke or Tim had eaten it. With it being a Turkey sandwich and knowing that Damian is a vegetarian, she doesn't add him to her suspect list. Leaving him be as Steph was looking for the thief. Due to the noise Steph was making during her questioning and how it was disturbing Damian's painting, he asks them to keep it down. Before he goes back to his painting, he mentions that he moved her sandwich after finding it being left out on its own. Telling Steph that she shouldn't leave her food out. Steph finds it where Damian said it would, while the three falsely accused residents of the manor were waiting for an apology.
When chapter 71 has Damian finding Steph learning how to fight in heels, for an undercover mission, he didn't know why she needs to learn and thinks that it is easy to do. This gets Steph to say that he wouldn't five minutes in heels and that he should prove his claim of lasting longer than her. The two then challenge one another to a sparing match in heels and both of them end up falling before it could properly start, they have a laugh about it before restarting the match. With Damian noticing where they went wrong and explains them to Steph. By the time Selina and Bruce came down to the cave, they find Steph and Damian having fun in their match.

DamiSteph is on the smaller side of Batfamily relationships among the BatKids and Robins, with moments between them mostly limited to the comics. Because of the age gap between them, however, some prefer to present them as friends or have Steph as one of Damian's sister figures. Next to Babs and Cass, and the sibling moments between them in the web comic helps to support this view. Along with Steph's brief time as Robin having her be considered as an honorary sister to the Robinbrothers.
Despite this fact, there have been those who have treated DemiSteph as a het ship. Since Steph once dated the third Robin and has been shipped with Jason. Along with a few DC shippers shipping Damian and other young characters with those who are older than them. To keep DamiSteph from being targeted by haters of the ship's het side, some have made Damian older or Steph young, to bridge the age gap that would have put people off the idea.
