Dangerous Ladies is a poly ship between Azula, Ty Lee, and Mai from the Avatar: The Last Airbender fandom.

Canon

Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee were all childhood friends and grew up together. They met while attending the Royal Fire Academy for Girls together. Azula was a bit more malicious at times as she pushed Ty Lee over when she was jealous of her skill in acrobatics. She also teased Mai for her crush on her brother Zuko and Ty Lee joined in on the teasing and pranks. However, they all still remained friends throughout the years.

Azula later met up with both Ty Lee and Mai years later to form a group with them in order to kidnap the avatar and advance the war in favor of the Fire Nation. Azula had to coerce Ty Lee into joining by making her circus performance more dangerous while Mai was glad to leave because she was bored. Ty Lee and Mai were also happy to see each other and hugged. Together they managed to take down Ba Sing Se and mortally wound Avatar Aang.

Azula and her trio later returned to the Fire Nation together. Ty Lee and Mai accompanied Zuko and Azula on their vacation to Ember Island. There they attended a party and spoke about their life's troubles by a campfire. Zuko later betrayed the Fire Nation and the trio travelled to the Boiling Rock to retrieve them. Mai eventually turned on the group in order to save Zuko. Azula was angered by this and prepared to attack Mai but Ty Lee chi-blocked her. The princess was hurt by this and ordered the soldiers to imprison her two former friends.

Mai and Ty Lee continued to be friends following the end of the war after they were released from prison. However, they continued to see Azula as an enemy. After Azula was defeated by Zuko and Katara, her mind snapped and had earlier began to have illusions of her missing mother trying to guide her, while making herself believe that Ursa was the one who gave Mai and Ty Lee the courage to stand up to her as part of a plot to ruin her life, she gets sent to an institution. When Azula saw Ty Lee again months later, Azula asks her former friend how Ursa was able to convince her and Mai to lose their fear of her, but Ty Lee hadn't lost her fear of Azula and was left confused by the words Azula said to her. Near the end of the journey Azula went on with Zuko to find their mother, she fled after they found her and Azula's time alone allowed her to clear her head before she returns to the Royal Capital. While Mai and Ty lee adjusted to their new lives, Azula had rounded up a new group of friends from the institution and had based her plan on a childhood memory she shares with Mai and Ty Lee. From when they had a sleepover and how young Azula's dare might provoke children steeling spirits to come for them in the night for being bad.

Dangerous Ladies has a small amount of popularity as a polyship. It is usually shipped by fans who like all three of the bonds that the trio has. Because Azula's mind started to snap after Mai and Ty Lee stood up to her, some fans think that the girls Azula freed from the institution were her way to fill in the void that was made when Ty Lee and Mai left her side.
